123w ago - Today PlayStation 3 developer ThatOtherDev has released several updated builds and source code for his recent PS3 homebrew games followed by another My PS3 Projects - Feb 17, 2012 update for those interested.

To quote from his page: Here are freshly compiled copies of everything I’ve ever released for PS3 since I began using PSL1GHT (with the exclusion of Avoidance which I’m just going to pretend I never ported).

Many of them have been updated but mostly in fairly trivial ways. The player turns to face the direction they are moving in Gambol, one of the levels in Swingball 2 has been remade, Goodbye World has been largely rewritten but should look and play the same as before, The Unmapped Forest has an added title screen, etc.

PS3 CFW Folder Checker Homebrew App and Source Code Arrive

124w ago - This weekend PlayStation 3 developer PsDev has released a homebrew application called PS3 CFW Folder Checker along with the source code as well.

From the included ReadMe file: Just place the .exe file in your flash drive where you have your folders and cfw setup run it and it will tell you if there is a typo, the foldername correct, the pup name correct and then if so it tell you your ready to go.

PS3 Development Source Code and Compiling Tools Now Available

131w ago - Today PlayStation 3 developer ThatOtherDev has made available PS3 development source code and compiling tools in hopes to encourage others to create PS3 homebrew applications and games.

To quote: I don't remember by whom but I'm reasonably certain I've been asked for this before and I suspect there is probably a handful of people that would find this useful. So here it is.

I've uploaded a compressed file that contains the (admittedly outdated) compiled copy of PSL1GHT that I've been using (and continue to use) for all of my recent PS3 homebrew.

The archive also includes the source code for They Do Not Die 2, We Are Nowhere, The Unmapped Forest, Slime Roll, Sketch Fight, Goodbye World, Don't Get Crushed, Cascade Beneath and Avoidance. Along with the source code is all of the related media.

How to use it (well running Ubuntu):

Just add the following text at the bottom of your bashrc file.
