6w ago - Curve Studios PR and Marketing Manager Rob Clarke announced today that Proteus is officially out today on both PS3 and PlayStation Vita platforms.
To quote: Hi, Rob from Curve Studios here! We're proud to announce that Proteus launches today for PS3 and PS Vita on PlayStation Store. Proteus has cross buy functionality, and will be available for $13.99.
Proteus was designed by Ed Key and David Kanaga, and was released in 2011 on PC. It's a game all about exploring a dreamlike, island world. Proteus' music and sounds change depending on where you move, creating a different journey each time you play.
We've been working on Proteus all summer, and after launching three other PlayStation games this year at Curve, you might not be surprised to learn our version of Proteus has a few additional features that are exclusive to the PlayStation versions of the game.
On the Vita version, Proteus can generate an island based on your geographical location, and on the PS3 version, you can generate islands based on the current date.
Islands generated in this fashion will be the same for anyone in the same location or on the same day, and will also be more "wild" than regular islands in the game, featuring various twists on the original's islands, as well as shifting, surreal...

6w ago - XSEED Games Localization Manager Ryan Graff announced today that Ragnarok Odyssey ACE is coming to both PS3 and PS Vita in 2014.
To quote: Since we first announced our action RPG Ragnarok Odyssey ACE back in May, we've gotten all kinds of questions, the most popular among them being, "What exactly is Ragnarok Odyssey ACE?" Fans want to know if it's a DLC expansion for the original Ragnarok Odyssey, if it's a whole new game, whether your character and/or story progress carries over, and so on.
Because I've got a minute, in between proofreading ACE's script and heading out to the voiceover studio, I wanted to answer some of those questions now.
Ragnarok Odyssey ACE is a full game - a revised and expanded version of the original Ragnarok Odyssey. We'll be releasing it early next year in North America for both Vita and PS3, and up to four players will be able to cross-play between the two platforms.
Both versions will retail for $39.99. As a "thank you" to returning players on the handheld, ACE's Vita version will ship with a bonus soundtrack CD, with 25 songs - including one very nice composition from Nobuo Uematsu, called "Roar of the Black Dragon."
Players with existing Ragnarok Odyssey saves can import their character's physical appearance, voice, job class,...
7w ago - Sony Social Media Specialist Ryan Clements is here with details on the new PS3, PS Vita and PSN releases for the upcoming week below today!
To quote: Don your cape and cowl - the Batman Arkham series is readying its return, along with Deus Ex: Human Revolution. It's a tremendous week of superheroes and cybernetics in this week's Drop.
Lauded for its gritty visuals and stellar play, the Arkham games have garnered a huge following in the world of gaming. That tradition is sure to continue with Batman: Arkham Origins, a prequel to Rocksteady's revolutionary first two games in the series.
The latest Batman features the intense, single-player experience you'd expect from an Arkham game, but will also include a robust online suite for gamers to compete within.
But Batman isn't the only dark hero making a comeback this week. Adam Jensen, with all his powerful augmentations, slinks back to PS3 in Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut. An enhanced version of the already well-loved original, the Director's Cut includes The Missing Link DLC, as well as other improvements.
If those don't strike your fancy and you'd rather catch up on some fan favorites, check out the two different 2K compilations - Essentials and Power Pack - which both feature a strong lineup of well-loved...
