PS Vita System Software Update v2.10 Arrives, New Folder System

80w ago - Following up on their previous Firmware update, Sony Product Planning & Platform Software Innovation Director Don Mesa has announced that PS Vita System Software update v2.10 is incoming and includes a new folder system.

The new folder system allows users to organize their games and apps, and as expected patches the recently released Apache Overkill exploit and purportedly blocks Open CMA for those on PS Vita Firmware 2.10 according to mixed reports.

91w ago - Following up on PS Vita Firmware v2.02, today Sony has officially announced that PlayStation Vita System Software update v2.05 is incoming.

While no official changelog is available yet, according to their announcement the update will offer users the following, to quote: "system software stability during use of some features has been improved."

It wouldn't surprise us if Sony blocked some of the more recent exploits in the update as well, however, it is currently unknown if this will be a mandatory PS Vita Firmware update or not but it should...

While there is no official changelog yet, below are some brief details from TerminalGamer.com (linked above) on PS Vita System Software Update v2.02, to quote:

"Possible fix for LittleBigPlanet Cross Controller issue.

Update: Still no connectivity between the PS3 and Vita with LBP2

Will update with more info as we test it out."

Sony has just started to roll out the newest firmware update for the Vita. The new 2.01 OFW update is live in most regions and along with it, the new 2.01 OFW update is mandatory, which is some what unexpected....
