Video: Chromatic Aberration is Out Now on PlayStation Mobile

36w ago - Hiive LLC Designer Andrew Rollings announced that Chromatic Aberration is out now on PlayStation Mobile.

Below are the details and some fresh video footage, to quote: On Tuesday, we launched our second PS Mobile game, Chromatic Aberration.

This is an original idea that utilizes borrowed elements from different 80's games. Since we wanted the game to have a very unique feel, we had to get the right set of tools to give us the look and feel we wanted. After securing the use of SuperIcon's Pixel Engine, we set about designing 64 of the most fiendish, insane levels we could think of.

Chromatic Aberration works like this: when you pick up a tesseract (little color-coded cubes), your character's color changes to that of the tesseract, which in turn affects the platforms you can interact with. For example, collecting a red tesseract will turn you red.

This means you can stand on red platforms - but will be killed by green ones (as green is opposite red on the color wheel). Conversely, collecting a green tesseract will turn you green. This means you can stand on green platforms, but will be killed by red ones.

Sony Announces Free PlayStation Mobile Games for the Holidays

38w ago - Sony Brand Marketing Manager of Emerging Platforms Jamaal Moore announced some free PlayStation Mobile games for the holidays today.

To quote: The end of the year is almost here, and we're in a festive mood. Starting today, we will be giving away 10 free games (two each week for five weeks) to all PS Mobile gamers.

Between November 27th and December 18th of 2013, and then from January 8th through January 22nd of 2014, you can download two PS Mobile games to play on your PlayStation Certified smartphone, tablet, or PS Vita for free!

Every week, during the promotional period, we will announce which two games will be free on PlayStation.Blog. Keep checking back with us over the holiday season to find out what the next games in the Festive Giveaway will be.

39w ago - Sony PlayStation Digital Platforms Community Manager Paul Sullivan announced today that Trucks & Skulls and Vacation Vexation arrive as part of this weeks PlayStation Mobile update.

To quote: Every Tuesday, there are new games, apps and updates added to PlayStation Mobile. Trucks and Skulls, our featured game of the week, and Vacation Vexation were released this week. We also have an update to Aqua Kitty, Cytus Lambda and Forevolution. We even have price changes for Magic Planet Snack Deluxe and Brg.
