Below are the release details for each with more information in the ongoing thread, as follows:

  • Family.Feud.PSN.PS3-DUPLEX (241.46 MB)
  • The.Price.is.Right.PSN.PS3-DUPLEX (878.45 MB)

146w ago - Polyphony Associate Product Marketing Manager Brian Dunn has revealed today details on new Gran Turismo 5 PS3 free 2.0 updates, PlayStation 3 DLC and a price drop below!

PlayStation 3 Slim Price Drop at Gamescom 2011, Now Only $249

153w ago - Today Sony President and CEO Jack Tretton has confirmed at Gamescom 2011 that the PlayStation 3 Slim will be receiving a price drop down to $249.

Sony to Announce New PS3 Chassis Design at Gamescom 2011

159w ago - Although no PS3 price drop is planned for the event, today [Register or Login to view links] reports that Sony will be announcing a new PlayStation 3 chassis design at Gamescom which runs from August 17th to the 20th, 2011.

This is not to be confused with the recent PS3 model CECH-3001A/B that weighs in at 2.6kg down from 3.0kg and cuts power consumption from 230W to 200W.

While the upcoming PS3's functionality is said not to change, during a recent interview PlayStation India Country Manager Atindriya Bose stated that the new PS3 chassis design will feature a slightly different internal design.

To quote: "Any chance of a price drop on the PS3 soon?

As of now, no.

Gamescom, then?

(laughs) Well, if there was a price drop coming at Gamescom, I'd know. There is, however, a new PS3 chassis being discussed. A slightly different design, but from what I can tell, not much difference in functionality."
 

PSPgo Price Drops to $149 Following PSP-3000 Price Cut

177w ago - Last week we reported that Sony dropped the PSP price to $129.99, and today JoyStiq.com (linked above) and [Register or Login to view links] state that Sony is now cutting the PSPgo price from $199 to $149.99 according to their [Register or Login to view links].

To quote: Sony's official PSP Web site has been updated to reflect an apparent PSP Go price drop.

"Now you can enjoy the sleek, totally-digital PSP Go system for $149.99 MSRP," reads the product description, "and the unsurpassed PSP-3000 system for $129.99 MSRP."

Major retailers haven't updated their listings to reflect the new PSPgo price yet, but it is expected to trickle down to them soon.
