Sony PlayStation Now Subscription Program: All The PS Now Details

200°
4w ago - Sony Director of Marketing Peter Jamshidi revealed all the details of their new PlayStation Now subscription program today as outlined below!

To quote: You've been able to rent games through [Register or Login to view links] for several months now, but many of you have asked - what about a subscription?

I'm pleased to announce that starting January 13th, we'll launch a subscription service for PlayStation Now that will provide instant and unlimited access to a catalog of more than 100 PS3 games. And since you're using PlayStation Now, you can enjoy the freedom to quickly discover and play a wide range of full games without downloads, installs, or patches (not to mention trips to the store).

The subscription service will be available first on PS4 across North America, and will come to other PlayStation Now enabled devices in the future.

You'll be able to choose from two subscription plans: one month for $19.99, or a three-month package for $44.99 (about $15 per month). The subscription provides access to a large and diverse catalog of PS3 games, ranging from action to RPG and everything in-between. Check out our launch trailer for a sneak peek.

We know that there are many PS4 owners who never owned a PS3 or had a chance...

Road Not Taken Free PS4 Update is Out Now on PlayStation 4

100°
7w ago - Spry Fox CEO David Edery announced that the Road Not Taken free PS4 update is out now on PlayStation 4 with details below!

To quote: Hi folks! We're pleased to announce the first major (free!) update to Road Not Taken is hitting your PS4s now! There's a lot of goodies in here, the most notable of which include:

• "Easier" mode and hard mode: many people have told us that while they love the original gameplay and the art in Road Not Taken, the game is simply too difficult for them. After chewing on this feedback for a while, we decided to split the game into two modes, Normal and Hard.

"Hard" is basically our original mode with just a few tweaks; "Normal" is a new mode that is more generous with energy and has less crowded (and therefore less difficult) rooms, among other changes.

In addition, checkpoints are now less punishing to use (in both modes), so players who felt like they were pointless before will hopefully find them more of a tempting gamble now.

• New "just for fun" Timed Mode: try to rescue all the kids within four minutes! You lose time whenever you take damage, and you add time to the clock whenever you eat food and rescue children. Timed Mode has no impact on your career, so it's a great way to enjoy Road Not Taken for a few minutes with limited...

Enter the Gungeon PS4 is Coming to PlayStation 4 in 2015

100°
8w ago - Dodge Roll Founder and Designer Dave Crooks announced today alongside a PS4 trailer video that Enter the Gungeon is coming to PlayStation 4 in 2015.

To quote: Hey there! I'm Dave Crooks from Dodge Roll, a small studio composed of myself and 4 good friends. After a few years making games at a larger company, we banded together to make games we love from the comfortable low-light conditions of our apartment.

Earlier this year we had the opportunity to partner with Devolver Digital, and working with them has been totally rad.

Our first game is Enter the Gungeon, a gunfight dungeon crawler. Players control of one of several misfits, each of whom are burdened by a deep regret.

Seeking a way to change their past, these sorry few have made pilgrimage to a distant planet where a "gun that can kill the past" is said to be sealed in the deepest depths of an ancient temple to the terrifying might of firearms: the Gungeon.

Enter the Gungeon is a fast-paced radial shooter fused with a dungeon-crawler lootfest. The Gungeon challenges players to fight, dodge roll, and table-flip their way through an increasingly difficult series of floors to the bottom of the Gungeon. Each floor is filled with enemies,...

Video: Orcs Must Die is Invading PlayStation 4 for the First Time

50°
8w ago - Robot Entertainment Community Manager Justin Korthof announced today that Orcs Must Die is invading PlayStation 4 for the first time with details below.

To quote: You hear that sound? That dull, rhythmic pounding you can feel in your knickers? That's the sound of hundreds of orc axes, fists, and foreheads beating against the mighty PS4 Fortress doors.

Today at the PlayStation Experience, we announced that Orcs Must Die! is coming back to consoles when the 5v5 Orcs Must Die! Unchained crashes the gates of the PS4 in 2015!

Go ahead. Read that again if you need to.

When the first OMD was released, players were dropped into the role of the overly-confident and woefully ill-prepared War Mage to help save his world from an army of invading orcs. If you played the first game, you know that the War Mage didn't so much win as he just sort of tore the whole magical institution thing to the ground.

Look, the point is, the orcs weren't invading anymore. So it still counts. By the time we catch up to Unchained, the rifts are open again, the magic is back, and the War Mage isn't the only guy with special powers anymore.

Orcs Must Die! Unchained is a Fortress Siege game that blends some...
