205w ago - Apparently, a picture (below) of what appears to be a movie poster advertising the new Metal Gear Solid movie has just sneaked onto the Internet today.

To quote: The poster, which is believed to have been taken at Sony Pictures in Culver City, CA, shows Christian Bale (most likely Solid Snake) and Daniel Craig (most likely Liquid Snake) along with a scheduled release for July 2011 and Hideo Kojima's name at the top.

This would undoubtedly be awesome news if we could confirm it as being 100% legit, but until then it'll remain a rumor as there are plenty of individuals out there with decent Photoshop skills.

210w ago - According to ComputerAndVideoGames (linked above), Sony knows nothing about the rumored pics of a new slim PS3 that are said to have leaked from a production line in a Chinese factory.

To quote: The shots show the matt black outer shell of a skinnier version of the console, complete with a slots for the Blu-ray disc drive, USB ports, and PS3 branding on the top and bottom (but not in the same Spider-Man-style font).

There's even a shot of the box, with all the PSN logos and a label indicating a 120GB internal hard drive.

Quite specifically Sony told us: "We don't know anything about the system in the photos."

214w ago - Today hweita of the GameTrailers Forum (linked above) has shared some Final Fantasy XIII Demo PlayStation 3 pictures.

It's not much for now, but if you want to remind yourself that the demo exists and that this game (5 years in the making so far) is real and not some hazy dream, these might help.

218w ago - ABC News reports that a Houston man has been arrested after using the PS3 to persuade an 11 year old girl to send him pictures of herself nude.

"People don't realize how the PlayStation is like a regular computer," said Eric Devlin, the Harris County, Texas, prosecutor who has been leading the case.

To quote: Prosecutors in Houston say they have tracked down and arrested a man who allegedly committed an online sex crime - though technically he didn't even have a computer.

All he needed, the prosecutors say, was a game console - a Sony PlayStation 3. They allege that the man, Anthony Scott Oshea of Somerset, Ky., persuaded an 11-year-old girl in Houston to e-mail nude pictures of herself from her PlayStation to his.

Oshea was taken into custody this afternoon by local police near his home. Houston authorities say they will try to bring him to Texas for trial.

"People don't realize how the PlayStation is like a regular computer," said Eric Devlin, the Harris County, Texas, prosecutor who has been leading the case. The suspect, Devlin said, "threw his old computer out because he didn't need it."
