New DriveClub Videos Show How Clubs, Face-offs & Challenges Work

50°
28w ago - Sony Game Director Paul Rustchynsky shared some new DriveClub videos below today which show how clubs, face-offs and challenges work.

To quote: In DRIVECLUB you're never alone. It brings people together. From the hardest of the hardcore, to the occasional player, it's you and your five mates against the world. Driving together to win together.

In the first of today's two DRIVECLUB explained videos, find out how Clubs work and why you should be in one.

Completing Face-offs and Challenges in DRIVECLUB represent more than just a way to score FAME. They give you another reason to race aside from just coming in first.

Check out the second video below for an overview of how they work, and how they'll benefit you and your Club.

Slightly Mad Studios Offers a First Look at Project CARS on PS4

100°
29w ago - Today Creative Director Andy Tudor at Slightly Mad Studios offers a first look at their project CARS on PS4 with details below.

To quote: If you haven't heard about it already, Project CARS is a bit different. Different in the philosophy of freedom that runs throughout the entire game, and different in how it's being created - by YOU, the gamers!

Project CARS was conceived back in October 2011 (Wow, time flies!) as a natural continuation of our work on two of racing's biggest franchises - Need For Speed and Test Drive - and as a return to our roots when we created GTR and GT Legends.

Back when we were conceiving the idea, we knew we wanted to create a racing game that covered a wide range of different car types and motorsports, and gave you the freedom to play and experiment with them however you wanted.

We wanted the core driving experience to be the most authentic on the planet, and we wanted to provide you with all the features you need to recreate a race weekend as it happens in real life - complete with a dynamic time of day and a weather system that not only looks beautiful but challenges your skills and provides strategic opportunities.

And we wanted to connect players together with a variety of online and community features - time trials, events,...

Sony Offers a Preview of May 2014's Instant Game Collection

100°
30w ago - Sony Senior Community Specialist Kristine Steimer offered a preview today of May 2014's Instant Game Collection with details below.

To quote: Next month PlayStation Plus members will receive several games as part of their membership including Stick it to the Man! on PS4, Puppeteer, PES 2014 and Skullgirls Encore on PlayStation 3, and Limbo and Surge Deluxe on PS Vita. Several of these titles are a visual treat, boasting distinct, vibrant art styles.

Stick it to the Man! is a mix of point and click adventure puzzles plus a bit of platforming, and the animation-inspired art style is really slick. You'll solve problems as Ray, a regular guy who wakes up one day with a giant pink hand floating out of his head. This pink hand gives him the ability to read people's minds and grab stickers from their thoughts to use in the world.

On PS3 members will receive three very different titles: the award-winning, uber-charming platformer Puppeteer, the popular soccer simulator Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 and the indie-darling fighter with a crazy roster, Skullgirls Encore. Puppeteer is a visual treat that follows the story of a boy named Kutaro who gets turned into a puppet by the evil Moon Bear King (great name) and loses his head.

After the transformation Kutaro must borrow other heads...

34w ago - Sucker Punch Productions developer Brian Fleming announced that the Second Son update is incoming, which features the ability to change the time of day, turn HUD off, and a 30FPS option!

To quote: Ten days. That's how long it's been since I went to the midnight launch of Second Son here in Bellevue, Washington (just outside Seattle).

I must have talked to over 100 people there, and so many more on social media and forums, Twitter, NeoGAF, etc. since then. It's been amazing to see the excitement and passion of inFAMOUS fans, new and old. I want to let you all know how much your enthusiasm and support means to us, how it renews us, and readies us to go try to make even better games in the future.

We also want you to know that we listen to your complaints. Some big, some small, but we take them all to heart. We never want to lose sight of how important it is that we listen to all of you. We can always be better.

So to say thanks, not just for all the support but also for your passionate requests to make the game better, we've started work on a few small features which we'll be delivering in the weeks to come.

Change Time-of-Day

Once you beat the game, a new entry will appear on the options menu to allow you to select the time of day! A very...
