From the ReadMe file, v5.0 Changes:

• Improved cheats support allowing files with 4 chars ID for WiiWare and other things

• WDM file support (put it in folder sd:/ codes or usb:/ codes). You can use 3, 4 or 6 chars for the ID

• Added self-selection using 4 chars on the covers id for Wiiware and removed WiiWare title display when adding a PNG file as icon

Version 5.0 'Good Bye' (needs cIOS 222-223 v4 (from 3.0) at least. New v5.0 versions (IOS 37,38, 57 y 60 no merged). Use the cIOS installer included.

It support NAND emulation for saves, DLC, Wiiware/VC and others news things.

164w ago - Earlier today we saw a fresh Metroid: Other M video, and now Nintendo has made available a new Super Mario Galaxy 2 Wii trailer.

The video comes courtesy of cortjezter via YouTube, and is meant to coincide with a recent play session at Nintendo's office, which reveals footage of the new Rock Mario power-up, a "Light Yoshi" power-up, and some new levels.

Gameplay will be similar to the first Super Mario Galaxy, with a focus on platforming based on and around 3D planets with varying sizes and landscapes. The protagonist Mario will be able to ride the bipedal dinosaur Yoshi, who can use his tongue to swing across gaps, as well as eat different fruits that give him different powers, such as speed boosts, the ability to inflate like a balloon, or reveal secret paths.

While the player retains the ability to collect Star Bits with the blue Star Pointer from the first game, the Star Pointer is replaced by a red dot when riding Yoshi, which allows the player to aim and control his tongue. This can be used for swinging off objects, pulling levers or, like in previous games, swallowing enemies and spitting them out.

164w ago - Today Nintendo has updated the Metroid.com Web site with a brand new trailer video featuring gameplay from the upcoming Wii game Metroid: Other M.

The video can be seen below courtesy of nintendolife via YouTube, with only a few months to go until the game is released in the US (this summer) followed by Europe later in the year.

The game takes place between Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion. Other M opens with a cinematic showing the final battle with Mother Brain at the conclusion of Super Metroid.

After escaping the exploding Planet Zebes, Samus awakens on a Galactic Federation ship. After leaving, she receives a distress call from a dormant "Bottle Ship", which is floating a short distance away from a Federation vessel.

Upon stepping into the ship, Samus encounters a group of GF soldiers, led by Anthony Higgs, who fought alongside her before she left the GF military. She also meets Adam Malkovich, who used to be her commanding officer when she was in the Federation Army.

Something happened that caused Samus to leave the army, causing Adam to be standoffish and guarded, calling Samus an "outsider" and ordering his team not to reveal any details of their mission to her.

175w ago - Update: NetFlix has finally shipping out the instant streaming discs for Wii owners. In order to request the disc, you have to log onto the official NetFlix Web site.

After many rumors, today the New York Times has officially confirmed that online movie rental service Netflix will be expanding to the Nintendo Wii console this Spring.

Considering the Wii's small internal memory, it should come as no surprise that this service will require an Instant Streaming Disc in the Wii each time someone wants to watch a movie, just like the PS3.

But while it's speculated that the PS3 will be getting an onboard solution to this problem, the same shouldn't be expected for Nintendo's console.

To quote: "The real winner in this? Netflix, of course. The online rental company has become quite ubiquitous these days. Even now I'm sure that a strong majority of our readership has a little red envelope either ready to be watched or sealed and ready for the long journey back home to the nearest Netflix shipping center.

175w ago - Video game accessories maker CTA Digital introduced their new Sniper Rifle Gun for Wii, which includes a removable stock and barrel, magazine tube, sniper scope and stand.

While the sniper scope is for cosmetic appeal and "not gaming accuracy", the accessory does incorporate the Wiimote and Wii Motion Plus to get the job done.

CTA says the Wii Sniper Rifle Gun is compatible with Medal of Honor: Heroes 2, Medal of Honor: Vanguard, Resident Evil 4, Ghost Squad, and Ultimate Duck Hunting.

Those interested can pre-order the Wii Sniper Rifle Gun through Amazon for $39.99, with the release scheduled for January 20, 2010.
