1w ago - Sony Producer Nicolas Doucet posted up a video today introducing The PlayRoom on PS4, and only for PlayStation 4 below!
To quote: Hi everybody! We're excited to unlock the doors to The PlayRoom, a place for fun and innovative PlayStation 4 Camera and DualShock 4 controller experiments!
As we recently announced, the DualShock 4 controller is packed with lots of new features (such as Light Bar, Touch Pad, Motion Sensor, Speaker, improved Dual Motors...). So what happens when we combine these with the PlayStation 4 Camera? Well, let us show you with this new video!
Let's start with the AR Menu. The first thing you will notice is how the Light Bar is tracked by the PlayStation 4 Camera. This allows us to make cool augmentations like these holographic panels, which come out of the controller and appear around you on the screen.
Using the Touch Pad, you can scroll through them and click to make selections. It's easy to use and very responsive, thanks to the high resolution of the Touch Pad.
Another cool finding is one we nicknamed "the sci-fi genie". By rubbing the Touch Pad like a magic lamp, you can summon Asobi, an interactive flying robot who comes out to play in your living room....

1w ago - Sony Community Manager James Spafford has posted up a new video trailer today for Tearaway on PlayStation Vita from E3 2013 below.
To quote: As is customary at this time of year, a squadron of highly trained Molecules has been sent forth from the safety of Mm Towers in the UK, to the familiar walls of the LA Convention Center where E3 is held each year.
Yes, the Molecules are in town for E3, and we've brought Tearaway with us so we can show it to as many people as we possibly can.
With a bit of luck, and some big smiles, those people will go on to share their experiences with the rest of the world, so you should see some previews across the internet over the next few days. We were also lucky to be included in this year's press conference, so look out for Rex playing Tearaway - he's been practicing all week, bless.
If you can't wait that long and need a Tearaway pick-me-up right this very second, then stay put, ready your eyes and ears, and prepare for your mouth to fall agape. We've got exactly what you need - a brand new trailer for Tearaway! See below.
1w ago - Klei Co-Founder Jamie Cheng told PS4 fans at E3 2013 today Don't Starve is coming on PlayStation 4 with details and some video footage below.
To quote: Very recently, we decided to throw our lot into the PS4, and announced that Don't Starve is coming on the platform. If you haven't heard about Don't Starve, it's an uncompromising, wilderness survival game full of science and magic.
You play as Wilson, an intrepid Gentleman Scientist who has been trapped by a demon and transported to a mysterious wilderness world. Living in a randomly generated world, Wilson must learn to exploit his environment and its inhabitants if he ever hopes to escape. Basically, you try not to die, but you will. A lot.
Don't Starve was created to bend the rules of engagement. How do we build a game that focuses entirely on creating intrinsically rewarding gameplay?
That is, rather than the game giving the player external (extrinsic) rewards, such as loot, levels, points and trophies, the fun part of the game is simply the experience and the challenge of playing it?
