Monsters (Probably) Stole My Princess PS3 Soundtrack Arrives

50°
216w ago - Today Mediatonic's Co-Founder & Creative Director Paul Croft has announced that the Monsters (Probably) Stole My Princess PSP and PS3 soundtrack has arrived, free of charge, via PlayStation Blog!

To quote: Since we released Monsters (Probably) Stole My Princess a few weeks ago we've had a lot of kind comments and great feedback on the game - we're super excited the game is now live and people are playing it!

The soundtrack for the game has gone down well so I'm really happy to tell you all we're releasing this as a free-download on the PlayStation.blog today!

All of the game soundtracks are based on iconic pieces of classic music given fresh life and played on the organ - the Duke's instrument of choice.

The first five tracks were composed by the talented Andrew Bertoni with the final two tracks from the excellent Dean Claydon. They've put together some special remixed and extended versions for this giveaway:

•"Toccata and Fugue in Demonic" (Bach: Toccata and Fugue in D minor) (right click and "save as" to download)
•"In the Hall of the Laughing Duke" (Grieg: In the Hall of the Mountain King) (right click and "save as" to download)
•"Doomlight Sonata" (Beethoven: Moonlight Sonata) (right...

Video: Sony Offers PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe PSP UMD for $10

50°
222w ago - Today Q-Games Ltd President and Executive Producer Dylan Cuthbert has unveiled on Sony's PlayStation Blog that the PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe PSP UMD is now being offered for just $10.

To quote: We're happy to announce that today, PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe makes its grand debut outside the PlayStation Network! Yes, that's right, due to popular request from you, the fans, we have twisted Sony's arm to release the game on UMD in North America.

Even better, we have squeezed the price down to just $9.99 which is an *amazing* value! Think about it: three islands and over 45 stages to play. As Monsters fans know, that means quite literally hundreds and hundreds of hours of incredible gameplay...every minute as addicting and fun as the last.

On top of that, full online play is supported. You can play cooperatively with anyone in the world, or just hang out in the chat rooms and watch the sports-like "ticker-tape" commentary of existing games run by. It's a very cool new feature, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

And of course, all the money we make from Monsters is being funneled into future PixelJunk games (we have some crazy stuff in store for you!), so that's an even greater incentive to jump to your local game retailer right now. Buy it for yourself, buy...

100°
223w ago - Mediatonic Co-Founder & Creative Director Paul Croft has shared a video announcement showcasing Monsters (Probably) Stole My Princess! for PS3 and PSP, which is available beginning today on PSN.

To quote: Today we're super pumped to announce that our first PlayStation Mini, Monsters (Probably) Stole My Princess!, goes live today on the PlayStation Store!

For those who aren't familiar with the game, here's a short summary.

Monsters have (probably) stolen your princess! Those fiendish and misshapen fools have (as far as we know) made off with your true love – and they haven't even had the good grace to leave a shred of evidence to follow. Only sweeping accusations and devastating style can save her from the fate she will (possibly) face now!

Available exclusively from the PlayStation Store, MPSMP comes with a full story mode, six unique stages, awesome animated cutscenes and an incredible soundtrack the Duke himself would approve of. With 24 levels of monster pounding justice, this is (probably) the best deal ever.

Check out the trailer to see the game in action:

The game is available on both PS3 and PSP worldwide for the price of $4.99,...
