Nintendo Unveils Early 2010 Wii, DS and DSi Video Game Lineup

Consumers nationwide continue to snap up Nintendo products for the holidays, and Nintendo is poised to carry that momentum into 2010.

Press Release: Hand-Held Pokémon Adventures and New Wii Remote Colors are on the Way

REDMOND, Wash., Dec. 14, 2009 - To bring a little color to the winter months, Nintendo will release two new colors for its Wii Remote™ controller. Starting Feb. 14, the controller will come in Pink or Blue and will be bundled with a Wii MotionPlus™ accessory. Along with the current White and Black versions of the controller, now every player in four-player matches can have his or her own color.

"During the holidays, tens of millions of Americans are going to spend enjoyable hours with both Wii and Nintendo DS," said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America's executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. "And the enjoyment will only grow in the early weeks of 2010, whether your taste in gaming comes from exploring ocean depths, catching, training and battling Pokémon or even designing your own micro-games."

70's Mustang Joins GT5 PS3 Lineup at the Gran Turismo Awards

247w ago - Sony's Public Relations Manager Alex Armour has unveiled today that a 70's Mustang has joined the GT5 PS3 lineup at the Gran Turismo Awards.

To quote: Two days ago, PlayStation hosted the 7th annual Gran Turismo (GT) Awards in Las Vegas, taking place in conjunction with the 2009 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show.

We had some impressive entries and a fantastic turnout at the ceremony, headlined by a live performance from the The Offspring at Rain nightclub inside the Palms hotel.

Kazunori Yamauchi - creator of the Gran Turismo franchise - chose a 1970 Ford Mustang from our Hot Rod category as our overall "Best in Show" vehicle, so a big congratulations to owners Todd Gartshore and Phil Koenan - get ready to see you car cruising around the virtual tracks of Gran Turismo 5!

LITTLEST PET SHOP and SCRABBLE (in the U.S. and Canada) licensed by Hasbro, along with original EA titles are also in development and will release later this fall.

Sony Announces the Tokyo Games Show 2009 PS3 / PSP Lineup

255w ago - Today Sony Computer Entertainment Japan (SCEJ) have announced their lineup for the Tokyo Game Show 2009.

Taking place on September 24th-27th, this is the last major trade show of the year. Hopefully there will be loads shown during Sony's keynote, but the below titles will be playable in the Sony booth on the show floor, to quote:

Rumor: Sony May Launch $40 Downloadable PS3 Game Lineup

283w ago - Warhawk, SOCOM, and Burnout Paradise are a couple of "full" titles that Sony has given gamers the chance to digitally download onto their HDDs.

While each game took up its fair amount of space, it was definitely convenient to not have to put the disc into the console in order to play the games. The ease of booting up our beloved console and clicking a menu item to start playing a great title like Burnout Paradise is definitely something that made the occupied HDD space worth it.

If this is something you've enjoyed, you may be happy to know that some analysts think that this may become the norm for the electronics giant we've all come to love.

According to Futuresource Consulting's senior market analyst Mai Hoang, Sony is [Register or Login to view links] rolling out an entire lineup of $40 downloadable titles that are sold at a discount in comparison to their $60 disc-based counterparts. While this idea has been tested by Sony with the previously titles mentioned, it's a treatment that first-party PSP titles in Japan have been enjoying for quite some time.
