PS3 Debug / Test Firmware 3.50 - 3.60 Updates Leaked

163w ago - Over the last few days several new PS3 Debug / Test Firmware updates have been leaked outside of Sony Dev and have surfaced publicly courtesy of Cairobeta and ConsoleDev, however, no new SDK files have yet since the previous PS3 3.41 SDK file leak.

The leaked PlayStation 3 files include PS3 Debug Firmware v3.60 Update, PS3 Debug Firmware v3.56 Update, PS3 Debug Firmware v3.55 Update and PS3 Debug Firmware v3.50 Update.

It's important to note that these PS3 Debug / TEST updates will currently NOT install on a retail PS3, and so it is intended for examination and comparison purposes only unless you own a Dev unit.

For those curious, running this updater on a retail PS3 will not damage it, however, it will give the following error before the installation completes: The data type is not supported. (8002F029)

169w ago - The Windows 8 Build 6.2.7955.0 M2 has been leaked on to FTP server on BetaArchive according to one of the members there. This will soon lead to a public leak in the form of torrent file (available now).

This matured build according the member sports Ribbon UI, Application Folder, Immersive browser and full DWM. Other features like Webcam, TaskUI, PDF Reader etc can be unlocked preferably using the tools already available.

This is considered to be the un-traceable version of Windows 8 M2 namely 7955.fbl_srv_wdacxml.110228-1930. The [Register or Login to view links] of the very same build was circulating across the Web over the past few days.

Killzone 3 PS3 Leaks to Torrent Sites Two Weeks Before Release

180w ago - This weekend numerous sites are reporting that Killzone 3 for PS3 has already leaked to torrent and tracker sites weeks before the official release date.

According to reports, the European version of Killzone 3 (BCES01007) has hit sites like BlackCats-Games and weighs in at 41.40GB in size under the label Killzone.3.EUR.PS3-MIRSUPER with another version coming without 3D dubbed Killzone.3.EU.JB.PS3-MrBLACK weighing in at 22.3GB.

Killzone 3 is officially scheduled to hit PlayStation 3 consoles on February 22 in North America, February 23 in Europe and February 25, 2011 in the UK.

To quote: 15 days before the release, Killzone 3 appeared on the tracker not only the country but also around the world. Sony suffers first serious leak, the fans are, and leaders of the wholesale stores is crying and crying.
 

Video: PSP Phone Sony Ericsson Xperia Play Ad Leaked

182w ago - It appears the PSP Phone Sony Ericsson Xperia Play ad has leaked and hit the Internet, and many are labeling it as weird.

DroidnyttNorge has uploaded the video to YouTube (below) stating the Norwegian Android Web site got hold of a commercial for the new Sony Ericsson Xperia Play.

To quote: "The commercial tries to depict that "Android is finally read to play as shows the final design of the PS Phone aswell as its official name"

The commercial doesn't look like it's fake and we can assure you that you can expect an official announcement soon."

Rumor: PSP2 Official Picture Leaked, Sony Reveal on January 27

183w ago - Since the previous PSP2 Dev Kit picture leak, Kotaku (linked above) has now posted what may be the first leaked official retail picture of Sony's PSP2 handheld console while [Register or Login to view links] reports that Sony will reveal the PSP2 on January 27th in Tokyo.

To quote: This art work surfaced online today on 2CH, Japan's largest online forum.

The photo features a handheld believed to be the PSP2, which has a PSPgo style sliding shell. There is a 32 GB SD memory card as well, plus a "PSP2" Memory Stick. There is a long, thin stylus as well. According to Japan's Nikkei newspaper, the PSP2 will have a touch screen.

Unlike the current PSP, there are two analog nubs, giving this handheld a controller layout similar to the PS3.

What is fishy about the picture is that it appears to be a photograph of a handout of some kind. While handouts may be present at the January 27 press conference, it's also a good way for a Photoshopper to hide their work, as it masks any differences in resolution you'd be able to detect in an online image.
