50°
56w ago - Team 17 Digital Ltd Communications Exec Bethany Aston announced today that Superfrog HD launches on both PS3 and PlayStation Vita tomorrow.

Below are the details, to quote: Well, it's been six months since we originally revealed that Superfrog was making his return in glorious HD on PS3 and PS Vita, and in that time we've been super busy over here at Team17.

We're really excited to announce that Superfrog HD will launch tomorrow on PSN for $9.99! As a bonus, PlayStation Plus members will receive a 20% discount.

Superfrog HD features 24 reimagined levels based on the original designs, spread out across six differently themed worlds: Magic Woods, Spooky House, A Day at the Circus, History Lesson, Ice Caverns, and Factory Failure. Fans of the original levels needn't fear - the 24 original levels can be unlocked by winning a spin on the Fruit Machine!

We've added several new features for Superfrog HD, including an endless runner mode, Frog Trails, and a Level Editor for players to create their own crazy courses for our favorite amphibian to navigate!

Those playing Superfrog HD on both PS3 and PS Vita can use their Vita as a controller while playing the PS3 version. Doing so will give you the added benefit of uncovering secrets, which are displayed on the PS Vita...

PS2 HDD Support & Discless ELF Launching from PS3 XMB WIP

1000°
194w ago - Here is my WIP project on PS2 HDD support and discless ELF launching from the PS3 XMB. First off I'd like to thank w1zard0f07 for being able to at least try helping me out with this one.

Over the last month or so I have been working on a little trick for the Phat Model PS3s. In summary FFXI is PS2 title that requires PS2 HDD support which is added via [Register or Login to view links] ([NPIA00001] PS2 System Files).

From there a "PS2 partition is made", which translates to an IMAGE.DAT file being made to exactly 12GB (according to GameOS/FTP this file is 0kb large)

The contents of this HDD is listed in the attached "Blank PS2 HDD.txt" (The partition list is corrupted according to w1zard0f07, quote "APA partition table on your dump file is broken")

The XMB icon is not launchable by this point, and requires the PlayOnline Viewer to be installed. This undergoes a certificate process, and then continues to install PlayOnline viewer to the "PS2 HDD." It is after this point the XMB icon is launchable, and goes straight into the PS2 mode reading from PP.SCUS-97269.1000.POLVIEWER and launching...

Like much of PlayStation Home, the design of this new navigator is directly based on community feedback on how to improve access to the content used most in PlayStation Home. This streamlined interface features categories to help you quickly move through PlayStation Home and locate friends in just a few clicks.
