Assassin's Creed Liberation HD Launches Today on PlayStation 3

50°
28w ago - Ubisoft Community Developer Gabriel Graziani announced that Assassin's Creed Liberation HD launches today on PlayStation 3.

To quote: Aveline de Grandpre is no stranger to PlayStation Assassins. Making her debut as the first playable female Assassin on PS Vita a little over a year ago, Aveline has quickly grown to be one of the most popular and praised Assassins in the series.

She even took on a few missions on the PS3 and PS4 versions of Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag (And if you haven't played those yet, be sure to download them for free from the AC4 main menu!).

Now, Aveline will arrive on PS3 in the fully-upgraded Assassin's Creed Liberation HD!

Liberation HD includes a complete graphical overhaul, fully-remastered audio, and all-new, never-before-played missions designed to engulf you even further into Aveline's world. For the first time on PS3, you'll be able to use Aveline's trademark whip in both combat and navigation.

Stalk secretly while hiding in plain sight, dressed in any of Aveline's three disguises. Dash effortlessly through the trees of the bayou, across verdant jungles and Mayan ruins, or perch over the sprawling port city of New Orleans.

Don't miss out on your chance to play as one of our most deadly Assassins yet.

Video: King Oddball Ends The World Launches on PS Vita Today

29w ago - 10tons PR Coordinator Jaakko Maaniemi shared a fresh video announcing that King Oddball Ends The World launches on PS Vita today.

To quote: Greetings from still miraculously snowless Finland, PlayStation Blog readers! This week 10tons is back with another game to PS Vita, and what a game it is.

I'm quite frankly not sure what to say about King Oddball. Or, King Oddball Ends the World, as the full name goes in all its glory. The game is a bit peculiar, you see. You're probably better off trying the free trial.

While it's technically true that King Oddball falls in the same physics-based puzzle category as Angry Birds, the fruitfulness of the comparison doesn't last long. Sure, you lob objects at things in both games, but that's largely as far as the similarities go.

First of all, King Oddball is a bit weird. What the heck the titular main character even is? What is he a king of? Why is his tongue so absurdly long and stretchy? Why is he in such a foul mood? Your guess is as good as mine. All I know is the eccentric art style and accordion-heavy soundtrack fit the game perfectly.

Gameplay-wise, and this is probably the part everyone is the most interested in, King Oddball is equally uncommon:...

44w ago - Tecmo Koei Europe Community Manager Chin Soon Sun announced alongside a video trailer that Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate: Core Fighters launches today and fans can try it for free!

To quote: Fighters! It's been a while! Today I would like to talk about Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate: Core Fighters which will be available FREE on PlayStation Store from this Wednesday, 25th September.

So, what is Dead or Alive?

For the uninitiated, Dead or Alive is a 3D fighting game series that first hit arcades in 1996. After first gaining attention for its intuitive fighting system, the series has since gone on to sell around the world.

The series was brought back for the first time in series years with the release of Dead or Alive 5 in September last year, boasting updated graphics and fighting mechanics.

What's new in Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate?

In Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate, developer Team NINJA has added an abundance of new online features, stages, game modes and the addition of both new and fan-favourites to our already extensive cast of fighters to deliver the 'ultimate' in fighting entertainment with features enjoyable from casual to competitive fighters.

We have added several fan-favorite characters to the biggest roster in franchise...

Video: KickBeat Launches Today for PS3 and PlayStation Vita

47w ago - Zen Studios Community Manager Bobby Loertscher announced that KickBeat launches today for both PS3 and PlayStation Vita platforms.

To quote: KickBeat has been in development for more than three years, and today we're full of energy as we release the game into the wild and onto your PS Vita and PS3.

Why KickBeat? Here are a few reasons we made this game, and why we know you'll enjoy it:

• KickBeat lets you interact with music! We've given you the power of an endless game by allowing you to create your own KickBeat tracks using the "Beat Your Music" mode, which allows you to generate levels with your own music.
• KickBeat is the first rhythm game with fully 3D interactive characters. Once you have the basic mechanics down, we remove the button cues and the characters themselves become the cues! Beat matching with 3D characters is no simple process – our guys ended up animating all of these movements by hand in order to make them precise enough for beat matching! Further, these are all running at a solid 60 FPS!
• The KickBeat soundtrack is comprised of 18 hard-hitting tracks from a diverse lineup of artists, from well-known bands such as Pendulum and Marilyn Manson, to indie pioneers Celldweller and Blue Stahli - even to hidden talents like electronic music...

Jaywalkers Interactive: Kick & Fennick Launches on PS Vita in 2014

50°
49w ago - Jaywalkers Interactive Co-Founders Vincent Bonefaas and Laurens Bruins announced today that Kick & Fennick launches on PS Vita in 2014.

To quote: We didn't count, but we must have saved the world thousands of times. Like many of us, we spent most of our childhood being superheroes dressed in cardboard armor with a towel around our neck, having the most amazing and epic adventures.

Thankfully, now that we're adults *cough*, video games still allow us to immerse ourselves in imaginary worlds, without looking like fools throwing pinecone grenades at each other. But this image of us as kids, running around the woods with a big stick, is thoroughly stuck in our minds.

This is where the idea for Kick & Fennick originated, remembering the fun we had saving the world, and our friends, with our massive stick weapons.

There are no complications as a kid, but if a real ten-year old boy would fire one of our imaginary super guns, he would surely launch himself through the air just from the weapon's recoil... which would be pretty damn cool!

We love big, cinematic game experiences. We're just a two-man team, but we couldn't have Kick just jumping around a bit using his weapon.

No, he needs to jump across huge skyscrapers, breaking through walls...
