Video: Step Up to the Plate: MLB '13 The Show Hitting Enhancements

82w ago - Sony Community Manager Ramone Russell at San Diego Studios has shared a video today spotlighting the hitting enhancements in MLB '13 The Show for PS3 today.

To quote: Hitting is such an important aspect in baseball, and it's an area we continually strive to make as realistic as possible. Last year we introduced our True Ball Physics engine to the franchise for ultra-realistic ball physics.

This year we've done even more work to really make this area of the game as dynamic as possible with true to life outcomes. Take a look at what we've done to make hitting in MLB '13 The Show more accessible to everyone.

We really want to make hitting more streamlined for players. Beginner mode allows people who have never played The Show - or have struggled with it - to learn the fundamentals of hitting. It's meant to teach you the basics of Plate Discipline, Pitch Recognition and Timing.





This mode uses adaptive A.I. that only advances as you do. If you take longer to get the hang of hitting in The Show, you won't be forced to advance. The A.I. will only advance once you've passed a certain threshold at each level.

104w ago - Franchise Producer Michael Gamble has confirmed that Mass Effect 3: Leviathan PS3 DLC will be out on PSN later today for fans!

To quote: The [Register or Login to view links] team loves Commander Shepard as much as the fans do, so after we shipped Mass Effect 3, we were excited to start creating additional content that would expand on Shepard's adventures during the Mass Effect 3 experience.

Downloadable content gives us an opportunity to do just that- it gives us the chance to write new chapters that add to Shepard's legacy without disrupting the consistency of the full game.

PS3 SPU Emulation v0.9 Module Out, Allows x86 PCs to Emulate SPU

115w ago - Shortly following his previous revision, PlayStation 3 developer KDSBest has updated the PS3 SPU Emulation to version 0.9, which allows x86 PCs to emulate the SPU.

Found the mistake in SPU Emu... -.- FAIL! sf* commands do rb-ra I did ra-rb -.- works perfectly now.

The sp somehow land in code section and overrides destroys code. so i don't update the code while the ls changes. This does the trick hotfix.

New spu emu soon dump function calls and channel access and so on.

SPU Emu v0.9: fixed sf* instructions and bugfixes and callstack functions. Dumps all branches now files get big ^^.

Crypto function instructions implemented, aim_spu_module runs fine (v0.8).

Thanks to my tester we found a heavy bug which made the aim not run correctly. Fixing it.

I still got a problem with one instruction, the problem is idk what instruction, but aim decrypts the eid0 section fine with spu emu (v0.8.1).
