132w ago - Today Game Director Nate Fox at Sucker Punch Productions has posted up a new inFamous 2 video dubbed The Beast is Coming to the PlayStation 3 entertainment system.
To quote: Here at Sucker Punch we're tired. We're whipped. Game development is a sprint. You run as hard as you can, then keep running.
The problem is the goal line sometimes move mid-race. When you set out to make a game you sort of have an idea of what it'll ultimately be... but that's not what it ends up being. You only know what you've made once it's done. Like you guys we experience the game, the real game, for the first time at the end of the road. And it's exciting.
It's crazy to be playing the game and forget that you made it because you're busy ducking an RPG rocket. You know that feeling you get when you actually dodge in your seat? Get that all the time.
Cole and his friends have stopped being polygons and actors and have become real people. And it's this reality that makes today's post cool. Now that we're so, so close to being done we can finally really talk about the "Big Bad" that pushes the whole story forward.
What's the Beast, you ask? Like a meteor from outer space...

137w ago - Sony's Social Media Manager Jeff Rubenstein has revealed some new single player details alongside a video on InFamous 2's PS3 Mission Designer today, as follows:
A week ago, Sucker Punch shared a couple of new inFAMOUS 2 missions, as well as the full download, so to speak, of the game's User-Generated Content tools.
A full UGC suite in a game like I2 is a new experience on PS3, so what can you do with it? And how difficult is it to put something together? Sucker Punch Senior Game Designer Karl Deckard sat down with us to demonstrate how to remix something fun.
As a huge devotee of the first inFAMOUS, I was eager to get my hands on the DualShock 3 to try out the new single player levels. Here are my impressions to go along with the video:
This mission from the 2nd island of New Marais finds me stepping into the trainers of Evil Cole. He's got a sickly pallor, and his every attack glows a fierce red. Eeee-vil.
This mission sends Cole on a search for a blast core - and more power - somewhere in the warehouse district. As I make my way towards the target on the mini-map, I try out the revamped parkour system.
138w ago - Today Sucker Punch Productions Brian Fleming has posted up some InFamous 2 PS3 from the Sucker Punch Studio Tour revealing Behemoth, Forced Conduits, and User-Generated Content.
To quote: Have you ever put on a wedding or a huge party? A bunch of us are in working this weekend, but it's not just the normal bug fixing, polishing, and optimizing.
Today we're hanging art, arranging some furniture, and (shudder) cleaning up our offices. All of this is being done in preparation for the 60+ media members who will be flying up to Seattle on Monday for our "Media Day" event for inFAMOUS 2.
So you can think of this as our once-every-two-years chance to spruce up the place, and put on a little bit of a show.
So here's my Virtual Media Day for you guys, a blow-by-blow breakdown of what we're showing.
In the morning we'll be hosting all the international press members on a tour of our studios in Bellevue. We will hold out some hope for good weather so we can do some interviews and photos out on the deck.
We'll turn the visitors loose on the bustling metropolis that is Bellevue, Washington and start prepping for our afternoon show. South of the Mariners stadium, we'll be hosting an evening event...
139w ago - Sucker Punch Productions' Brian Fleming has shared a video today spotlighting InFamous 2: The Quest for Power on the PlayStation 3 entertainment system.
To quote: Today I'm here to talk about everyone's favorite topic: powers! More specifically, how does Cole manage to improve on is already impressive set of electrical abilities?
For those of you who don't know the original inFAMOUS story, Cole's electrical powers appear when he's caught in the blast of a mysterious device called the Ray Sphere.
Cole gains more and more abilities, becomes more and more powerful, and survives the gauntlet of Empire City... but he also is given a glimpse into his future. He realizes that even at the height of his powers, he is no match for the challenge that awaits. A battle with a great Beast looms, and Cole isn't ready to face it.
So in inFAMOUS 2, Cole travels South to New Marais to trace a path to the man behind the Ray Sphere technology, Dr. Sebastian Wolfe. With buddy Zeke riding shotgun, they set off to find the key to the next step in Cole's evolution and a new level of power- powers that will be necessary if Cole hopes to survive the upcoming battle.
When Cole and Zeke eventually track down Dr. Wolfe, he explains...
