Sony PlayStation Plus Updates: Hotline Miami Free for Members

50°
57w ago - Sony Senior Community Specialist Kristine Steimer is here with this weeks PlayStation Plus content updates, which feature Hotline Miami free for PS Plus members.

To quote: Put on a mask (did I mention they're all animal heads and that each one has a different benefit?) and 'take care' of anyone your answering machine tells you to. Sure, it may sound a little crazy, but that's part of Hotline Miami's appeal.

This top-down action game requires careful planning to execute the perfect take-downs. Starting tomorrow, PlayStation Plus members will be able to download Hotline Miami for free on both PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 3.

There are also loads of spooky titles on sale as part of the Sale of the Dead, including recent sensation The Last of Us and other zombie favorites like Dead Island, Dead Nation, Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare and Telltale's The Walking Dead episodes.

All of these PS Plus benefits will be available after the PlayStation Store updates tomorrow, October 22nd.

Hotline Miami (PS Vita & PS3)
Free for PS Plus members, Regular Price: $9.99

Hotline Miami is a high-octane action game overflowing with raw brutality, hard-boiled gunplay and skull crushing close combat. Set in an alternative 1989 Miami, you will assume the...

First Screenshot of Friends List Crossover from PS3 to PS4 Arrives

50°
58w ago - Today a screenshot has surfaced showing the Friends List crossover from PS3 to PS4, which depicts a user playing Killzone: Shadow Fall on PlayStation 4, seen on friends list on the PlayStation 3.

To quote: "Someone recently leaked a screenshot showing what is the first ever PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 crossover.

As you can see in the above image, this is the first case of a PS4/PS3 crossover. If you do not understand what's going on in the picture allow me to explain. If you have a PlayStation Vita, then you know that you can see what everyone on your friends list is playing. The only difference is that PS3 users can't see what PlayStation Vita users are playing... yet.

This looks to NOT be the case with the PlayStation 4, because as you can clearly see, this XMB shot was taken from a PS3. It's only a matter of time until the PS4 arrives and this screenshot is only building my anticiption more and more."

Photography in Tearaway on PS Vita: Let Your Creativity Loose

50°
65w ago - Sony PlayStation Community Manager shared details today on the photography in Tearaway on PS Vita inviting fans to let your creativity loose.

To quote: Tearaway is about going on an adventure. It's a very personal journey between two people: you, and your new messenger friend.

If you're going on an adventure, you're likely going to see lots of amazing things, and you'll probably want to tell people about them. That's why we gave Iota and Atoi their own cameras!

As soon as we put the camera into Tearaway, the whole studio started documenting and sharing their journeys through the vibrant, papery landscapes, and in addition to providing us with mementos, it was clear that it could be a great avenue for creativity, too. If you know anything about us, you'll know that's something we can't help but include in our games.

You'll be awarded the camera early in your adventure. It comes with a kit lens, with a nice depth of field, and you can get snapping straight away. To unlock new lenses and special filters, you'll need to collect confetti; little colourful bits of paper you'll see throughout the world. You can spend this confetti on numerous things, including camera items.

There are five additional lenses to collect, each brings something different...
