Gears of War 2: No blinging up your guns

50°
325w ago - With E3 fast approaching, all 360 owners eyes are on Epic's Gears of War 2. And there's nothing more lead developer Cliff Bleszinksi likes than adding fuel to the fire of hype.

Touching on whether or not you'll be able to customise any part of your arsenal, he explained, "We're not really that kind of game. We're not going to allow you to bling out your gun. The Lancer's a Lancer, Gus is Gus, and Marcus is Marcus. Those are the identities we're sticking with." Fair enough.

Bleszinksi's clearly loving what he's playing too. "Just the other day I was driving in this icy level with a tank and power-sliding through Locusts and Gus goes, 'Locust roadkill, baby. Squish. Squish. Squash. Squash.' It was just freakin' great. And then when you shoot you're knocking over trees because we have more destroyable objects and you shoot your Boomshot and everything shatters apart.

"Gears was heavy and Gears was chunky and Gears felt satisfying. And Gears 2 is just really taking that to the next level. It's just cooler and more visceral."

We don't doubt it. Read more from GamePro HERE.

Metal Gear Online BETA bumped to April 25th

50°
334w ago - The MGS Online BETA has been pushed back to the 25th of April. The Online BETA has been one of the most poorly executed BETA's on the PS3 so far.

There have been wrong activation codes, servers getting overloaded, and countless other problems.

Whether or not this will work when it goes live on the 25th is debatable. but what is certain is that the BETA has done nothing so far to help promote the game.

A majority of gamers have said that despite being the next-gen MGS, it hasn't made any major advancements.
