2w ago - Sony Social Media Specialist Ryan Clements is here with the new PlayStation and PSN games for the upcoming week today, as follows:

Bright lights, big city. It's time to head back to Los Santos and drown in a life of luxury and crime. Grand Theft Auto V hits PS4 this week, ushering Rockstar's colossal open world into a new generation of gaming.

In Grand Theft Auto V, players follow the intersecting lives of three criminals struggling to survive in a city soaked with fame, fortune, and violence. Jump between them and explore one of the most intricately detailed open worlds ever created.

Amass a fortune, silence the competition, drive exotic cars... or just play some golf. GTA V welcomes it all, and invites Grand Theft Auto Online players to carry over their progress from PS3 or Xbox 360 to PS4.

But that's just the start of the spectacular lineup this week. LittleBigPlanet 3 hits PS4 and PS3 and introduces a cadre of new friends for Sackboy. Far Cry 4 opens the gates to a Himalayan open world oppressed by the rule of a psychopathic tyrant. And Dragon Age: Inquisition tells the sweeping story of a hero cursed by dangerous magic.

2w ago - Deep Silver Senior Writer Alexander Toplansky is here with a fresh Escape Dead Island PS3 launch trailer below, confirming the video game hits PlayStation 3 on November 18, 2014.

To quote: We're thrilled to announce that, in just a few short days, [Register or Login to view links] will make landfall on PS3!

Escape Dead Island is a single-player, survival-mystery game set in the blockbuster Dead Island universe.

Escape turns the world upside-down, exposing an underbelly of mysteries and secrecy around the undead virus. What caused the Banoi outbreak? How is the world reacting? Who really has the most to lose... or win... as it spreads?

These questions have been burning in both the Dead Island community and in the mind of Escape's protagonist Cliff Calo. Now it's time for some answers.

Cliff, a slacking journalism student out to prove himself to his executive father, sets sail with a few friends to cut through a naval quarantine and find out what really happened on Banoi. If they can get the truth out to the world, they'll be heroes. But nothing in Escape Dead Island is quite...

2w ago - Telltale Games Community Lead Laura Perusco invites fans to play Game of Thrones and Tales From the Borderlands at PS Experience next month with details below.

To quote: Are you headed to Las Vegas for the PlayStation Experience Event in December? Telltale will be there too!

First up, there's a special Telltale Games panel where we'll be discussing the past, present, and future of Telltale and adventure games.

Here's the great thing about this panel though: since our games are all about making choices and then living with the consequences, YOU'LL get to choose the questions. Take this opportunity to grill our brave little band of panelists about the Telltale-y stuff you've always wanted to know!

It's not all talk though - we'll have games for you to play too. Tales from the Borderlands and Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series will BOTH be playable on the show floor. You'll find them in Sony's booth, so be sure to check them out amongst all the other awesomeness!

Speaking of our upcoming releases, don't miss the shiny new Tales from the Borderlands trailer we just released this morning! I think this is easily the most amusing video we've ever had the fun of producing. Seriously, get...

Candescent Games Announces Tinertia is Rocket Jumping to PS4

50°
2w ago - Candescent Games Inc CEO Vilas Tewari announced today that Tinertia PS4 is rocket jumping to the PlayStation 4 console with details below.

To quote: Hello, PlayStation nation! My name is Vilas and I'm the lead programmer at Candescent Games. Together with Section Studios, we're thrilled to announce that Tinertia is headed to PS4.

Tinertia is a hardcore platformer without a jump button. "What? No jump button," you ask? Well, instead of a plain old jump button, we give you a rocket launcher with infinite ammo! If you like rocket jumping and physics, you're in for a treat!

Our goal with Tinertia is to create a truly new platforming experience. The platformer is the grandaddy of game genres, so to create something unique we tackled its core mechanic; the jump button. If you're like us, you have at some point rocket jumped around Quake, Unreal, or Team Fortress.

It's a fun and exhilarating experience due to its imprecision and randomness through physics. However, when mastered, it becomes a fast and precise way to traverse a map. With rocket jumping as the basis for movement, we created a twin stick platformer. You use the left stick to walk and the right stick to shoot in any direction.

Tinertia's design pillars are depth and mastery. The game worlds are crafted...
