98w ago - Massive Entertainment Writer Meghan Watt has posted up a video today showcasing Far Cry 3's High Tides DLC, which sails to PS3 in January 2013.

To quote: Hey, gamers! The studio that brought you Far Cry 3's online experience is preparing something big to kick off the new year: the co-op DLC pack, High Tides, exclusively on PS3 for console gamers.

This January, we're releasing two entirely new co-op chapters, Jailbreak and Redemption. These new chapters feature the culmination of all the hard work we've put into the main co-op campaign.

High Tides will take place where the original six co-op chapters left off. These are the gang's final moments, and we're really challenging ourselves to go all-out.

We've got new missions, tougher fights, bigger competitions, some great up-close time with your favorite characters, and explosive moments unlike anything you've seen before. Can you tell we're excited?

We want everyone who loves Far Cry 3's co-op to get even more quality time with the whole gang - Leonard, Tisha, Mikhail and Callum. So pick up your copy of Far Cry 3 for PS3 today, and find out in January what happens when the gang tries to escape the island in these final chapters.

Video: DmC: Devil May Cry Demo, PlayStation 3 DLC is Detailed

100w ago - Ninja Theory Communications Manager Dominic Matthews has detailed DmC: Devil May Cry demo PlayStation 3 DLC complete with a video trailer below!

To quote: Hello, Dominic Matthews here from Ninja Theory bringing you an update on DmC: Devil May Cry.

First off, I want to tell you about some DmC add-on content that we just announced. Called Vergil's Downfall, it features six brand new missions, in new environments where you play as Dante's twin brother Vergil.

Vergil has his own unique combat system (if you know Vergil from the previous games you'll recognize some of his signature moves) and the story, which is intertwined with the events of the main game, takes place in Vergil's very own personal hell. Lovely!

You'll also get to take on new enemies and upgrade Vergil's combat as you play. Once you've completed all the new missions you'll have four new difficulty modes to unlock including Son of Sparda and Vergil Must Die, both of which feature unique enemy waves and enemy behaviours that are different from those in the three default difficulty settings.

The reason that we're telling you about this add-on content before the main game is even out is not because it's finished (because it's not,...

165w ago - Sony Senior Social Media Specialist Rey Gutierrez has shared some video footage from this year's Gamescom today showcasing Dante's vertical slice in Devil May Cry on the PlayStation 3 entertainment system.

To quote: Last year, Capcom and Ninja Theory revealed their re-imagining of Devil May Cry (now known as "DmC" at the 2010 Tokyo Game Show.

The response to Dante's makeover and new look to the universe was split between adoration and outright confusion, with fans questioning the new look and fighting style of protagonist Dante.

Heading into Gamescom, I received word that Creative Director Tameem Antoniades wanted to discuss DmC's progress and indulge me in Dante's new found love for aerial combat. After being reunited with Tameem and Dante, I'm left crying for more.

Video: Re-imaging of Dante, and the New Devil May Cry for PS3

213w ago - Sony Senior Social Media Specialist Rey Gutierrez has made available a video today on the re-imaging of Dante in the new Devil May Cry for PS3.

To quote: "I remember calling it Developers May Cry, it looked that good." God of War III's game director Stig Asmussen confesses in the upcoming God of War Directors Live event, when asked about his art direction days on the original God of War.

Devil May Cry; its headliner, Dante; and the entire DMC mythology have sprung installments on multiple consoles, comic books and an anime series. Dante is an iconic figure in the video game world, so imagine the reaction when Lead Producer Alex Jones and Chief Creative Director Tameem Antoniades were tapped to change everything we know about Devil May Cry and start from scratch. The result? DmC.

Clearly, [Register or Login to view links] and [Register or Login to view links] were anticipating a strong reaction and fan skepticism, but after my conversation with the new DmC team, I grew more confident that Dante and the cast of DmC are in good hands.

It's daring, crazy and extremely challenging to change an 11-year-old franchise. But, if Christopher Nolan can do it with Batman Begins,...
