Video: The Walking Dead: Episode 4 Coming Soon, New PS3 Trailer

50°
95w ago - Today Writer Gary Whitta has confirmed that The Walking Dead: Episode 4 - Around Every Corner is coming soon alongside a new video trailer and screens below.

To quote: Congratulations. You've made it. You've survived. This far.

If you're reading this blog, that means you've probably already played the first three installments of [Register or Login to view links]' episodic video game adaptation of Robert Kirkman's never-ending zombie epic The Walking Dead. And you've been put through an emotional meat grinder unparalleled in interactive storytelling.

You've had to deal not just with the dead rising up, but with the living brought low as the scattered and desperate survivors of the zombie apocalypse have struggled to hold onto their humanity under impossible pressure.

You've seen murder, cannibalism, fear, paranoia, insanity, betrayal, and even the tragic death of an innocent child. And all I can say to you after all that is, I'm sorry. Because it's about to get worse. Much worse.

At the close of Episode 3, Lee Everett and his fellow survivors were just about to arrive by train in Savannah, where Kenny, distraught after the recent loss of his wife and son, has pinned all his hopes on finding a boat that can carry the group to safety.

Sony Announces The Walking Dead: Episode 3 Hits PSN Today

99w ago - Director Eric Parsons at Long Road Ahead has announced that The Walking Dead: Episode 3 is officially hitting PSN today!

Below are the details, to quote: We continue to be blown away by how much people want each new installment of The Walking Dead. As soon as we get an episode out the door, we're immediately hit with people wanting to know when the next one will hit.

It's incredible and we're so grateful for everyone's excitement and support. Today we can confirm that The Walking Dead: Episode Three - Long Road Ahead will launch August 28th (today!) on PlayStation Network in North America.

We've been hard at work making sure this installment will put players through the emotional wringer in this morally grey story set in the world of Robert Kirkman's comic book series.

Episode Three - Long Road Ahead is going to push some truly mind-warping decisions on you. A zombie apocalypse is horrific not only because of the undead, but also because of the depths that humanity will sink to in desperate times. You're going to have to choose paths that I don't think have ever really been explored in a video game before. I can't help but wince with the knowledge of many of the choices we've created for you to make.

This is our most emotionally turbulent episode yet,...

108w ago - Telltale Games Manager of Public Relations and Social Media Alan Johnson has posted up a video today showcasing The Walking Dead Episode 2, Starved for Help, which hits PSN this Friday.

To quote: The Walking Dead, Telltale Games' continuing story of adventure horror based on Robert Kirkman's Eisner Award-winning [Register or Login to view links], continues this week for PS3!

Episode Two - Starved for Help tears through flesh and bone and onto the PlayStation Network this Friday for $4.99 or will be available as a download from within the game's menu for existing season pass owners!

We're really excited to continue the story of Lee Everett; players will have to deal with the repercussions of the choices they made in Episode One and they'll be confronted by more difficult and sometimes gut-wrenching choices in Episode Two.

Remember, the decisions you make means that your story of The Walking Dead could be substantially different from someone else's - this is what we call 'tailored narrative'.

Our game engine has been tracking every choice players made in Episode One - A New Day. From course-altering life-and-death decisions...

117w ago - SEGA Digital Campaigns Manager Mike Kebby has shared a video today of Sonic 4 Episode II, which brings Metal Sonic to PSN on May 16, 2012.

To quote: We're extremely pleased to be able to announce that Metal Sonic is making a return to the Sonic universe.

Not only is Metal Sonic returning to wreak havoc in the boss battles of Sonic 4 Episode II, but he's making a star appearance in exclusive content for owners of both Episodes I and II! In other words, now you can play as Metal Sonic.

In the same way as Mega Drive owners who owned Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Sonic & Knuckles got additional content if they 'locked on' one cart onto the other, so too do gamers who own both Episode I and Episode II.

Simply put, gamers who own both Episodes get exclusive access to Episode Metal as part of Episode II.  This is an exclusive zone telling the story of what Metal Sonic was up to during the first episode, following his mysterious revival.

Set in the world of Episode I, you can play stages that have been rearranged for Metal Sonic.

Sega on Bringing Collaborative Play to Sonic 4 Episode II for PS3

119w ago - Sega Digital Campaigns Manager Mike Kebby has shared details today on collaborative play in Sonic 4 Episode II for the PS3 entertainment system below.

To quote: As you're no doubt aware, Sonic 4 Episode II will be upon us in due course. I'm just here to give an overview of one of the features we're most proud of in the upcoming game - Collaborative Gameplay between Sonic and Tails.

Sonic can now team up at any point in the game with Tails, by utilising one of three combo moves in order to progress through some of the more challenging parts of a level.

Firstly, we have the Copter Combo (fans of the earlier Sonic titles will remember this from Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles) which allows players to take control of Tails to lift Sonic up and over objects or onto previously unobtainable platforms.

Secondly, the Submarine Combo allows players to overcome Sonic's big weakness, his inability to swim. Tails can now pick up Sonic and swim through the water scuba style, meaning that Sonic now has a way to speed through the underwater parts of a level.

Meaning that whilst you still need to collect those all-important air bubbles to stay alive, you're in much less of a hurry thanks to Tails support.

Finally, the Rolling Combo combines Sonic and Tails into a...
