3w ago - Messhof LLC Co-founder Kristy Norindr confirmed today that Nidhogg is coming to PS Vita with Cross-Buy, Online Play, and more details below.

To quote: We are super stoked to announce that [Register or Login to view links] is coming to PS Vita, and it will be released simultaneously with the PS4 version!

It will be cross-buy, so if you grab one you'll get both the PS4 and PS Vita versions. How dope is that?!

If you haven't heard of Nidhogg yet, thats cool. Its been around the PC game world for a while, and at super awesome parties around the world. Its a two player fencing/fighting game where the ultimate goal is to get eaten by a massive pink dragon: the Nidhogg.

Nidhogg is pretty much the ultimate party game, but you can also practice in single player mode against an AI opponent or play with friends or randos online. When you inevitably have a Nidhogg party, there's a built in tournament mode for 3-8 players. We had some crazy [Register or Login to view links] tournaments at EVO.

You can also toggle a bunch of different variants on and off, or combine them for endless weirdness (baby mode + spine swords?).

The soundtrack consists...

Video: Alone With You is Coming Exclusively to PS4, PS Vita in 2015

3w ago - Director Benjamin Rivers of Benjamin Rivers Inc shared a video trailer below today announcing that Alone With You is coming exclusively to PS4 and PS Vita in 2015.

To quote: At GDC this year we announced that indie horror hit Home was coming to PlayStation, and today we get to announce something even more exciting; I am delighted to finally reveal that my new game, Alone With You, is coming out in 2015 as a PlayStation exclusive on PS4 and PS Vita!

Alone With You is a sci-fi game for people who love adventure, exploring and maybe even a little romance. You play as the sole remaining member of a doomed terraforming colony. Your planet will crumble and implode in less than a month, and you must use your remaining time to try to escape.

The catch? There is only one escape pod left, and it isn't functioning. Even worse, the only people who specialized in its systems are all dead as a result of the colony's mysterious failure. But the colony's AI is still with you, and together you plan to get yourselves off the planet–by recreating those key colony members and learning how to fix the ship, so you can both flee to safety.

You'll explore half a dozen unique areas, using your scanner to find things you need,...

Ascension: Chronicle of the Godslayer by Playdek Coming to PS Vita

50°
3w ago - Playdek Community Manager Shyla Schofield announced today that Ascension: Chronicle of the Godslayer is coming to PS Vita with details below.

To quote: Greetings, everyone! This is Shyla, Playdek's Community Manager, and I'm here to share some exciting news with you all.

Currently our team is busy working on bringing our award-winning game Ascension: Chronicle of the Godslayer to PS Vita! But what is Ascension, and what exactly is a "deck-building" game?

To put it simply, a deck-building game is a game where players take turns adding cards to their own playable decks. Players start with identical cards in their decks which places each player on an even playing field. In Ascension, you and your opponent will start with 10 cards in your deck and will use these decks to draw cards to create your hand.

By playing your cards, you're given either a special ability to use during your turn such as adding more cards to your hand, or the cards may generate Runes or Power which allow you to purchase or defeat cards in the Center Deck.

Purchasing cards with Runes will usually provide you with a special ability of some sort that you can use to aid you in your game, while defeating a card with Power removes the card from the game and will award you with Honor Points which...

3w ago - Ska Studios Lead Dishwasher James Silva posted up a video today announcing that Salt and Sanctuary is coming exclusively to PS4 and PS Vita next year.

To quote: Hi! James and Michelle here! We're [Register or Login to view links], the Seattle-based two person game studio responsible for The Dishwasher series, Charlie Murder and I MAED A GAM3 W1TH Z0MB1ES 1N IT!!!1.

We're super proud to introduce you to our newest project: Salt and Sanctuary. It's a stylistic, brutal action RPG platformer that's teeming with visceral, satisfying combat, deep, diverse character builds, and some of the most incredible bosses we've ever made.

Salt and Sanctuary casts you as a sailor shipwrecked on a strange, purgatorial island, insulated somehow against a backdrop of centuries-old worldwide perpetual war. What hope remains is isolated in Sanctuaries: protected dwellings where travelers band together under common creeds to take shelter from the hostile world outside.

If you're familiar with some of our earlier games like The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile and Charlie Murder, you should know what to expect: solidly executed, intricate and brutal combat, lovingly hand-drawn and animated 2D art (of the non-pixel...

Hello Games: Joe Danger is Coming to PS Vita on September 2nd

50°
3w ago - Today Alex Wiltshire at Hello Games confirmed that Joe Danger is coming to PS Vita on September 2nd, 2014.

Below are the details, to quote: Hello! Let's get right to it!

We're excited to announce that our game Joe Danger will be launching for PS Vita on September 2nd via PlayStation Store!

And that's not all! PlayStation Plus members will get it for FREE as part of their September batch of games. Actually, you might already know this, because Sony's official PlayStation Plus September announcement has made that pretty clear.

We know it's been a bit of a wait, but we wanted to make sure it is perfect, and we're incredibly proud of what we've been able to achieve. It's everything you'd expect from Joe Danger in your hands.

It runs at a super smooth target of 60 frames per second, it's pin-sharp, and super colorful.

It features every level in the PS3 original, plus the never-before-released on PlayStation Laboratory levels, making 84 levels in total. That's a lot of game. Our UK indie friends Four Door Lemon have really helped us make it the perfect version.

What else... There are 25 characters to play as, a full set of Trophies to win, and the Vita version features a slightly tweaked control system so it plays really nicely. For the first...
