193w ago - Sony's Social Media Senior Specialist Chris Morell has shared a PlayStation Eye Chat video today showcasing Shatter PS3 multiplayer.
To quote: Shatter is easily one of my favorite PSN games from last year. So when we heard rumblings of multiplayer and other modes/features coming to the game, we went to go straight to the source for all the details.
So I'd like to welcome back Mario Wynands, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Sidhe, whom you originally met here. If you still haven't downloaded Shatter on PSN/PS3, you'll get a nice intro to the game in this video.
But beyond that, Mario talks about some in-the-works stuff including Home integration, the inclusion of multiplayer modes and even the release of the game's soundtrack.
And if you make it to the end of the video, you'll get a close-up of the physical CD version of the soundtrack, which you can snag by paying close attention to our Twitter feed today.

199w ago - Sony has previously confirmed that PS3 cross-game voice chat is coming, however, the question now is whether it will be offered only to paid PSN subscribers as part of their upcoming service in 2010.
Today GamesThirst.com (linked above) believes that is the case, based on an excerpt from the latest issue of PlayStation: The Official Magazine (PTOM).
To quote: "Aside from the 3D goodness, cross-game party chat is the obvious "next big feature," even though it might be restricted to paid [PSN] subscribers."
Earlier in the same thread speaking about motion controls, the writer said this:
"Sony's current service is one of the PS3's best features, so we'd begrudgingly welcome a revamped PSN with extra subscriber functionality, like cross-game-chat and exclusive PSN downloads."
So what do you make of all this? Would you pay for cross-game chat on Sony's online service?
200w ago - Today SCEE's Community Team Moderator Yaster has detailed the PS3 entertainment system's new invite system for text chatting that is built into the PlayStation 3 XMB.
To use it, simply head to a Chat Room, load up a supported game and click the relevant option (for Bioshock 2, this is "Manage Invites". From there, select the empty box at the top as normal.
When you do this, though, in addition to inviting from your friends list or a new Online ID, you'll see Invite From Chat Room - click it, and the XMB will list your current Chat Rooms - pick one and it'll invite everyone in that lobby.
Currently supported games are limited to Bioshock 2, The Aliens vs Predator Demo and Call of Duty: Classic but hopefully the number of titles with this new feature will grow.
From the guide, to quote: How to invite chat room players into a (supported) game
Hot on the heels of my previous guide to "that" invite system in MW2 I now bring you something which I think a few of may not be aware of.
The PlayStation 3 firmware has a feature which allows you to invite players in your active text chat room straight into...
207w ago - Today Naughty Dog Co-President Evan Wells has shared his experience from this year's VGAs, where Uncharted 2 for PS3 won Game of the Year, as follows:
So the SPIKE TV Video Game Awards were this Saturday, and in case you hadn't heard, UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves walked away with Game of the Year!
It's a huge honor and the team is still basking in the glow of that moment. While it's still fresh in my mind, I wanted to share a little behind the scenes recap of how it all went down.
I arrived at the show with Christophe, Amy and Bruce and we walked the red carpet, which was a pretty cool way to start the evening off. There were tons of media lined up with cameras and microphones ready for interviews. We stopped for a few interviews and Christophe even played a game of Wii Resort Table Tennis against one of our interviewers (he let her win... so he says).
Continuing down the carpet, we ran into a bunch of people arriving at the same time as us like Marty O'Donnell from Bungie (who walked away with the award for Best Score for Halo: ODST... congrats!), our friends from Infinity...
