Video: From Board To Screen: Dungeon Twister Lives on PSN

50°
113w ago - Following up on their previous details, today Game Creator Chris Boelinger at Ludically has shared a video dubbed From Board To Screen on Dungeon Twister for PSN.

To quote: Hi - I'm Christophe Boelinger, and I create board games.

My life is dedicated to games. I've made more than 30 games to date, and have always dreamt of seeing one of them turned into a video game. This week, that dream is going to become a reality when that will help you knock me off the top.

When I first designed Dungeon Twister as a board game way back in 2003, I knew it was the perfect candidate for a video game. Its infinite gameplay, the fact that no two games ever the same, the tremendous number of strategies that can be deployed and just how addicted we all got to it suggested that it would be a great videogame.

So I really am delighted that it is coming to PSN tomorrow for £7.99/ €9.99. PlayStation Plus subscribers can also enjoy a 50% reduction on that price for the first two weeks following launch.

As I said, my life is dedicated to games. So please come find me on Playstation Network...

Sony Outlines Resident Evil 6 for PS3: Bringing People Together

100°
115w ago - Sony Brazil Blog Manager Fabio Santana has outlined Resident Evil 6 for PS3 in an interview today, which arrives on the PlayStation 3 entertainment system this October.

Below are the details from the interview, to quote: At E3 2012, Capcom offered a glimpse of the three different scenarios we'll be playing in Resident Evil 6.

Players could enjoy a co-op between Leon Kennedy and newcomer Helena Harper in classic survival-horror style in a Tall Oaks full of zombies, face a boss battle with Jake Muller (son of longtime series baddie Albert Wesker) and Sherry Birkin (aka the little girl from RE2), or battle across the rooftops of China with Chris Redfield and his partner Tony Ponce.

But the company also revealed a new feature behind closed doors: the Crossover system, an evolution of the dual-threaded Scenario mechanic from Resident Evil 2, this time not only intersecting the story of different characters but also bringing their gameplay together in four-player co-op situations.

To demonstrate Crossover, Capcom's developers played a scene where Leon and Helena meet with Jake and Sherry in China. En route via airplane, the US agents are attacked by a B.O.W. (that's Bio-Organic Weapon for the uninitiated) and crash. Wesker's son and his young partner are already on the ground...

120w ago - Devil's Details Director Steve Oldacre has announced today that Table Top Tanks will be bringing explosive AR to PS Vita on May 22, 2012 with a video trailer below!

To quote: I'm Steve and I'd love to tell you about the latest great PS Vita Augmented Reality game Table Top Tanks, which we developed at Devil's Details in Sheffield, UK.

When we were asked if we'd like to develop Table Top Tanks by our friends at SCEE we couldn't believe our luck: Who doesn't like blowing stuff up with Tanks? And we got to play with and help develop PlayStation's AR technology too. So, we said "Yes please!" and got down to work.

So, what's in Table Top Tanks? Firstly, there are the tanks: They're quite quick, nimble and fun to drive and you can choose from 10 different colors.

Their main cannon is pretty powerful and you can upgrade its shell type by running over pickups; my favorite is the bouncing missile - they're great fun to spray into the edge of the arena and watch them cause carnage and confusion as they bounce around.

To get you started playing the game we've included a single player campaign, which will teach you how to play and challenge your tank skills.

But the real fun comes making your own maps using the simple editor. You...

Sony said today that PS Classics support will be added to Vita via the system's version 1.8 firmware update. As previously announced, this firmware update will be available some time during the Summer.

The version 1.8 firmware update was mentioned during Sony's announcement of the PlayStation 2 Game Archives service for PlayStation 3."

The video game has since been removed, and below is what he said to say to quote:

"Sorry for the bad title i just didn't want to get people's hopes up as the game is not working at the moment. However, i would like to show what i did achieve.

Firstly i was happy to buy as i had money left over...

Sega on Bringing Collaborative Play to Sonic 4 Episode II for PS3

50°
124w ago - Sega Digital Campaigns Manager Mike Kebby has shared details today on collaborative play in Sonic 4 Episode II for the PS3 entertainment system below.

To quote: As you're no doubt aware, Sonic 4 Episode II will be upon us in due course. I'm just here to give an overview of one of the features we're most proud of in the upcoming game - Collaborative Gameplay between Sonic and Tails.

Sonic can now team up at any point in the game with Tails, by utilising one of three combo moves in order to progress through some of the more challenging parts of a level.

Firstly, we have the Copter Combo (fans of the earlier Sonic titles will remember this from Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles) which allows players to take control of Tails to lift Sonic up and over objects or onto previously unobtainable platforms.

Secondly, the Submarine Combo allows players to overcome Sonic's big weakness, his inability to swim. Tails can now pick up Sonic and swim through the water scuba style, meaning that Sonic now has a way to speed through the underwater parts of a level.

Meaning that whilst you still need to collect those all-important air bubbles to stay alive, you're in much less of a hurry thanks to Tails support.

Finally, the Rolling Combo combines Sonic and Tails into a...
