TGS 2009: Resident Evil 5 for XBox 360 is Getting Bonus Content

265w ago - The Alternative Edition of Resident Evil 5 may have sparked a bit jealousy within 360 owners.

However, during a Darkside Chronicles stage event at the Tokyo Game Show, producer Jun Takeuchi talked about new content that will be added to the 360 version of Resident Evil 5.

To quote: The new content that he mentioned was an added mission to the 360 version Resident Evil 5, which originally served a as flashback scene; with Chris and Jill duking it out with Wesker in the mansion.

360 owners may not have the availability of motion control yet. However, according to Dengeki, Capcom plans on offering the new content in "a different form" to 360 owners.




 

LittleBigPlanet GOTY Edition Box Art Offers $30 in Bonus Content

272w ago - The LittleBigPlanet GOTY (Game Of The Year) Edition Box Art has recently been uncovered by Kotaku (linked above), and appears to sport a lower price and offer $30 in downloadable content.

According to [Register or Login to view links], online retailer [Register or Login to view links] (dead link now) brought to light a few bits of information on the title which has since been taken down from the site completely.

To quote: While details on what that extra content thrown in for free will be aren't specified in the Amazon.com listing, the lower price and extra goodies really should convince you to pick up a copy of LittleBigPlanet already. I mean, have you seen how cute these Sackboy things are? Seriously. Just precious.

The original report on the LittleBigPlanet re-release indicated that "much" of the downloadable content already available would be bundled with the core game. Whether that includes the dozens of available downloadable costumes or simply some of the game's user-created levels is unclear. The "valued at" makes us wonder.

Eternal Sonata hits PS3 next year, receives bonus content

371w ago - Now that we know Eternal Sonata is definitely being released on the PS3, we've learned even more good news regarding Bandai Namco's newest RPG - the PS3 version will receive bonus content not found on the Xbox 360's.

According to IGN, the PS3's Eternal Sonata will feature new events to flesh out the game's storyline, Crescendo and Serenade will be playable characters and you'll even be able to change your character's outfits.

Although Eternal Sonata was released today on the Xbox 360, PS3 owners have to wait until next year, but, hey, it could be well worth the wait.
