PlayStation Now PS4 Beta Invite Available, Reply for Chance to Get It!

800°
16w ago - First time poster but long time quiet reader. Over the years I've found this site very useful and all of its members very helpful and knowledgable. I thought i would give a little something back.

Today I received beta invites to the PS3 and PS4. I used the PS3 code and it works great. I don't have any use for the PS4 code so I am offering it to anyone who wants it. It will only work on a PS4 and only on an American account.

This means you must have signed up to PSN with an American address. I hope I'm not breaking any rules on this site by doing this. I will check back later tonight for replies. I will pick a random user from the replies to be the winner. This might just be YOUR lucky day!!

18w ago - Sony Director of Marketing Peter Jamshidi officially announced today that the PlayStation Now PS4 Private Beta starts tomorrow with details below!

To quote: Hi all, since January, a growing number of PlayStation fans have been enjoying the Private Beta program for PlayStation Now, our streaming game service launching this summer.

Up until this point, our Private Beta for PS Now has been available on PlayStation 3 systems. We're pleased to announce that the Private Beta program is expanding and will make its debut on PlayStation 4 systems on May 20. If you've registered for the PS Now Private Beta, keep an eye on your mailbox for a voucher code.

PS Now gives you the freedom to play select PS3 games like you already stream movies, TV, shows, and music - directly to your favorite PS Now compatible devices without any discs or downloads. The first supported devices launching in 2014 are PS4, PS3, select 2014 Bravia TVs, and PlayStation Vita, with more devices down the road.

The Private Beta program has been going great so far, and we want to give thanks to the testers that have participated - your valuable feedback is helping us make the service even...

Video: Leaked PlayStation Now Beta Shows UI, Games, Loading & More

20w ago - Following up on the news of Private Beta Invites going out, today some leaked PlayStation Now Beta video footage surfaced which shows the UI, games, loading, a connection test and more below!

To quote from DualShockers (linked above): If you’re not in the PlayStation Now beta (or if you’re not American like me) but want to see what the service looks like, a reader that opted to remain anonymous sent us a real treat in the form of a full fledged video walkthrough of the current beta.

The video starts from the launch of the service and basically goes through everything there’s to see, doing a connection test, browsing the games catalog and even loading and playing a couple games (Puppeteer and Saints Row: The Third). Incidentally It’s also very well made (kudos to the author, really). If it wasn’t recorded off screen it could almost be mistaken for an official trailer.

You can check it out below, but remember that, as you can read at the bottom of the screen, what’s shown in this sneak peek is for testing purposes only, and is not indicative of the final service.
