InFamous Second Son: See the Live Action PlayStation 4 TV Spot

To quote: As you may have seen just a few weeks ago, SCEA's SVP of Marketing, Guy Longworth, revealed the first campaign spot for the upcoming PS4 exclusive, [Register or Login to view links].

Featuring the tunes of Seattle-based, Mudhoney's "Touch Me I'm Sick," that gameplay spot is an awesome example of the sorts of experiences you'll be having later this month when the game launches.

We think the spot was a great kickoff to our Enjoy Your Power campaign, and as we were working on ideas on how to communicate the absolute joy that comes from having extraordinary powers, we started to wonder, "What would it be like if it happened in real life?"

From there, the seeds to this new spot were sown. After a few months of hard work, we're all happy to show you what we think that might be like... and how much fun we think it would be to mess with (Or shake up?) the D.U.P.

Video: What is N++? An Intro to the PlayStation 4 Action-Platformer

29w ago - Metanet Co-Founder Mare Sheppard is here today with an introduction video to their PlayStation 4 action-platformer called N++ below.

To quote: Hi everyone! This is Metanet, back with another update. Since our last post, we've been focused on getting N++ into an alpha state, which has mostly involved adding all of the particle effects, sounds, and animation that help to really bring things to life.

While the main core of the game has been working for a while, it's nice to finally see things with more bells and whistles!

We've also been making and arranging levels - a continuous process that will go on right up until the game ships - as well as doing some playtesting. People are responding well to the new levels so far, although we may have made some of them a bit too hard.

The good news is: we now have a playable demo which we'll be showing soon at [Register or Login to view links] and [Register or Login to view links]. If you'll be at either of those events, please stop by and check it out!

To quote: Hello fellow PlayStation fans! It's a pleasure to be here. My name is James Vance, and I'm the Capcom Japan producer on Strider for PS4 and PS3.

For those of you who are new to the Strider universe, please allow me to give you a quick rundown of just how awesome it is. For those of you who already know, take a moment to revel in your superior gaming knowledge, and stick around to learn what surprises the all-new Strider has in store.

Originally introduced in 1989, Strider was a seminal Capcom game starring Special-A class, indestructible cypher sword swinging, climb on virtually anything, all around coolest video game character ever, Strider Hiryu.

Strider took the gaming world by storm with its ultra-fast and responsive controls, first of its kind dynamic traversal, crazy boss characters and amazingly detailed and unique graphics that were truly in a league of their own.

The fast and frenetic arcade tradition continued some ten years later in Strider 2, but many of the younger Marvel vs. Capcom players may know Strider Hiryu best as one of the series' most respected fighters.

Video: Thunder Wolves: Napalm-Infused Action on PSN August 13th

To quote: As kids in the '80s, we grew up with outrageous action heroes capable of toppling entire regimes without ever reloading - and as for how those bullets made everything explode... some questions just aren't worth asking.

At [Register or Login to view links] and [Register or Login to view links], we wanted to combine the over-the-top destruction and old-school sensibilities with one of gaming's most underutilized vehicles; the helicopter.

Not everyone needs complicated storylines with brotastic melodrama, or epic amounts of padding to fill the hours. Sometimes, we simply have the urge to grab a controller and blow $#!& up from a chopper.

Maybe it seems weird to mention destruction as a 'feature' of gameplay, but in Thunder Wolves, out August 13th on PSN, we have buildings crumbling into searing clouds, tanks exploding on impact, foot-soldiers being utterly vaporized, and... you get the idea. In short, Thunder Wolves is a little adrenaline-surge rolled up with the perfect after-work stress relief.

Action Button: Ten by Eight Launches Today on PlayStation Mobile

59w ago - Action Button Entertainment Founder and Director Tim Rogers announced that Ten by Eight launches today on PlayStation Mobile.

Below are the details, to quote: Over the last few months, we've been working on a couple of great games for PlayStation Mobile. We're launching one right the heck now, a puzzle game, called Ten By Eight.

"Puzzle game" might be putting it too generally. I like to think of it as an "abstract strategy game with really fun graphics and music". You can call it a puzzle game if you want though! I won't cry.

With Ten By Eight, we made a game that I wanted to play - and I sure have played it a lot, and I'm still not bored.

I swear I've played it over 200 hours myself - which is normal, given that I, uh, directed the darn thing, though I swear that at least 80 of those have been recreationally, on the final version of the game. So, there's, well... my stamp of approval, at least.

It's playable on all PlayStation Certified devices with simple touch controls and the PS Vita version supports buttons.

I spent a large percentage of my childhood with a Rubik's Cube in my hands - I even Rubik's Cubed while reading books - so when Tetris first came out, my brain exploded. I've played dozens of puzzle games since...
