23w ago - Lab Zero Games CEO Peter Bartholow announced today that Skullgirls Encore is launching on February 11th, 2014 with details and launch videos below.

To quote: We've got some big news: Skullgirls Encore is launching on February 11th!

...wait, what? Isn't Skullgirls already out? It was! But it's currently not.

To release the new content funded by our successful Indiegogo campaign, Skullgirls had to undergo a painful publisher transition, one that required removing the game from the store entirely and resubmitting it.

But don't worry - everyone who previously purchased Skullgirls will receive Skullgirls Encore and the DLC Character Color Bundle free, which we'll detail at the end of this post.

If you haven't checked out Skullgirls since its original launch in April 2012, you'll find a lot of new features in Skullgirls Encore:

• Literally hundreds of gameplay and balance tweaks
• Faster gameplay
• The new "Drama" meter keeps combos from getting too long without compromising creativity
• Hugely expanded training mode, and still some of the best tutorials in the fighting game genre
• Improved online play
• Gorgeous new stages, with new music from the...

New Sony PlayStation Game Releases for February 11th, 2014

50°
24w ago - Sony Social Media Specialist Ryan Clements is here with this weeks PlayStation video game releases for the upcoming week today, as follows:

Strong, witty, and a little rough around the edges, Ellie from The Last of Us played a tremendous role in making the critically-acclaimed PS3 game shine.

Her endearing dialogue and emotional connection with Joel provide The Last of Us with several layers of narrative. But there's more of her story to be told.

This week on Friday, The Last of Us: Left Behind arrives on PS3. The DLC explores Ellie's past, along with her connection with close friend and confidant, Riley. This additional chapter in the world of The Last of Us bestows gamers with intimate insight into defining moments of Ellie's past.

But there's more coming this week to the world of PlayStation. Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII launches on PS3, concluding Lightning's chapter in the long-running JRPG series. Lightning Returns features a large, open world, tons of sidequests, and an elaborate customization system that will let players design their ideal fighter.

24w ago - Sony's Jawad Ashraf of the PlayStation Store Team is here with this weeks European PSN Game Store updates below, which include Outlast, Dustforce and Surge Deluxe leading the way.

To quote: It's not often these days that we're treated to a few scares here and there in our games. That changes today with the arrival of Outlast for PS4. Dark, narrow corridors.

Eerie silhouettes in the far distance. You wonder what lurks behind the corner and BAM! You just soiled yourself.

On a much less scary front is Surge Deluxe, a new and improved version of developer Futurlab's acclaimed PlayStation Mobile game. Surge takes popular match-three gameplay and adds an electrifying twist for added depth and bright results. See where you can place on the online leaderboards.

There's more too, including brand new clean 'em up Dustforce, the second episode of The Wolf Among Us, an open beta for high-flying Ace Combat Infinity and a range of great discounts in our new February sale that begins today.
