118w ago - Today Housemarque Game Designer Petteri Putkonen has announced that Dead Nation is expanding on the PS3 console with the introduction of the Road of Devastation PlayStation 3 DLC!
To quote: We hereby announce exciting news for Dead Nation players around the globe! We've been hard at work creating a new downloadable expansion called "Road of Devastation"!
Before we say more, we'll take this moment to acknowledge an epic milestone in the number of zombies killed worldwide: over 11,700,000,000 - and counting!
To put that number in perspective, that's more than 1.5 times the entire world's population of today (though the game takes place in the near future where Earth's population has grown much bigger...so don't worry, there's still plenty of zombies left).
Also, our worldwide recruit count has risen to over 3.8 million! We wish to humbly thank all the people who have supported the game.
Now, onto Road of Devastation:
From the ashes of the apocalypse, an organization has worked in the shadows, tampering with the human gene, modifying and improving upon it to create the perfect soldier, the ultimate zombie-killing machine - you! Continuing from the events where the original game left off (or, is it actually the other way around...,...
118w ago - Grip Games CEO Jakub Mikyska has posted up a video today confirming that the World's Most Challenging Game is coming to PlayStation Network.
To quote: I am here to tell you about The Impossible Game, a new minis title that we are bringing to PlayStation Store.
The Impossible Game is a pure indie game. Developed by a small team, it quickly found its audience and successfully moved from one platform to another. Destructoid called it "Insanely addictive".
We are now bringing The Impossible Game to the PlayStation Store as a minis, so the game can be enjoyed by PSP players, as well as the PS3 players.
So, what makes The Impossible Game so special? It is known for two things - its addictiveness and threatening the sanity of anyone who comes near it. The Impossible Game is a rhythm-based platformer.
You control an orange square and you have to jump your way through a level full of obstacles, like spikes and gaps. The game's soundtrack helps you keep the rhythm. No complicated controls, no graphical gimmicks - just one button, your skill and the music is all you need.
Why is it "impossible"? It is unforgiving. Make a single mistake and you are back to the beginning...

119w ago - Today PlayStation Store Director Grace Chen has outlined the PlayStation Plus September 2011 offers for subscribers, as follows:
Before we get to what's coming to PlayStation Plus, we wanted to let you know that starting today, we're making a slight change to how we communicate PlayStation Plus updates.
Instead of posting twice per month on what's coming to Plus, we're going to be making one post that gives an overview of all the content that's hitting Plus in that particular month.
So today's post will cover content coming in September, and the next post will hit in the first Monday of October. Of course, with every week's Store Update post, you'll know what's going on the Store for Plus on that week.
Now to the good stuff! We've got some great content this month coming free to Plus subscribers including PopCap's Plants vs. Zombies, the furious shoot-em-up Astro Tripper, and the final game in the SEGA Genesis Collection, Altered Beast. The value of all three of these titles adds up to more than a $24 savings, which doesn't include the additional minis and PSone Classics you'll get this month too.
This month also marks a special occasion as we're celebrating the Resident Evil 15th Anniversary with PSone Classics: Resident Evil Director's Cut, Resident Evil...
