Video: PAX 2012: Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes is Coming to PS3

400°
107w ago - Sony Social Media Manager Sid Shuman is here with some video footage this weekend announcing that Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes is coming to PS3 at PAX 2012.

To quote: At PAX 2012, Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima showed off 15 minutes of the first gameplay footage from his upcoming PS3 game. Though running on a PC, Kojima stated that the footage was comparable to what would be seen on the PS3 version of the game.

The demo begins with an in-engine, real-time cinematic set in a rain-drenched prison camp, and ably shows off FOX Engine's advanced shader, lighting, and particle effects.

After the cinematic showing a mysterious man with a mutilated face and wide-brimmed hat leading troops from the prison camp into a mission, the gameplay footage kicked into gear as Snake moved into position outside the prison camp - a huge open-world environment riddled with entry points.

Kojima pointed out nearby APCs and helicopters, confirming that Snake can commandeer and pilot them if he so desired. As if to prove the point, Snake hopped into a Jeep to gain access, evading a roaming tank in the process. Kojima also showed that you can deploy a flare "at any time" to call in a friendly helicopter - it will let you fly between missions, and even to other countries.

Video: Double Dragon Neon is Lighting Up PSN in September 2012

400°
107w ago - Majesco Entertainment Assistant Product Manager Pete Rosky has announced today alongside a video below that Double Dragon Neon is lighting up PSN this September!

Below are the details, to quote: After 25 years, the original beat 'em up is bringing pure over-the-top baditude to PSN. In Double Dragon Neon, Billy and Jimmy are kicking butts and taking names as they search for their girlfriend Marian (she seems to have a habit of getting kidnapped).

This time, her disappearance is at the hands of the supernatural scourge, Skullmageddon! Face off against a gaggle of goons, some familiar (Williams, Linda, and Abobo, of course!) and some that are absolutely out of this world.

DDN also features 2 player "Bro-Op", so grab a bro and bring the true power of the Double Dragon to the evil forces that have once again incurred your wrath. Don't forget to pick up songs along the way for your Mix-Tape, which holds your special powers and upgrades. There are also killer team-up moves, enemy juggling... and some secrets that I won't spoil here.

Pick up Double Dragon Neon on PSN for $9.99. Oh, and if you're a PlayStation Plus member, you'll be able to grab the game for free until January! Pretty sweet, huh?

Videos: PlayStation All-Stars: Nariko and Sir Daniel Join The Fight

107w ago - SuperBot Entertainment Community Manager Daniel Maniago has announced today that Nariko and Sir Daniel are joining the fight in PlayStation All-Stars as showcased in the videos below!

To quote: The doors to the PAX convention center are officially open here in Seattle. The show is now in full swing, and so are our character reveals!

We already unveiled Evil Cole and Raiden this week, and now we have two more characters that we're announcing at the show today.

Heavenly Sword's Nariko has joined the cast of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale! Heavenly Sword's cinematic experience and engaging gameplay dazzled gamers in 2007, an experience we wish to re-create for those playing as Nariko in PlayStation All-Stars. Nariko has proven to be a strong female lead, and was a prime candidate for inclusion in the roster.

During Nariko's combo attacks, players can trigger different actions during key poses within her offense. This opens up defensive options such as dodging, jumping, or parrying mid-combo, or offensive options such as continued combo attacks or juggle starters.

She also has several projectile attacks to harass opponents with from a distance. During her level 3 super, Nariko uses...

Video: Meet the King of The Unfinished Swan Coming to PSN

50°
107w ago - Giant Sparrow Creative Director Ian Dallas has posted up a video today introducing the king of The Unfinished Swan which is coming to PlayStation Network.

To quote: Like a lot of other great artists, our King is a little crazy.

He's the one who created the entire world that players will be exploring in The Unfinished Swan. And I don't want to give too much away, but the King built a lot of cool stuff. If you like all-white statue gardens, giant labyrinths, or colossal monuments to the King then you're in luck.

Unfortunately, most people don't like those things. At least not in their backyard. Turns out living in the middle of a giant labyrinth is pretty inconvenient, which is why just about everyone in the kingdom eventually moved away.

But the King is the sort of guy who goes right on building the stuff he wants no matter what other people think about it.

Whether or not that's a good thing depends on your point of view and – like I said – how you feel about giant labyrinths.
