Sony Unveils a Preview of FirstPlay Episode 21 for PlayStation 3

226w ago - Sony Associate Editor Nathan Ditum has unveiled a preview of FirstPlay Episode 21 today for PlayStation 3, which arrives on PSN this Wednesday.

To quote: Coming up in episode 21 of FirstPlay this Wednesday we have a review of scuzzy crime sequel Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days, as well as a Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow hands-on with all-new footage, and a preview of the PlayStation Move's launch line-up.

On top of that we've got a review of super-addictive PSN car-scrapper TNT Racers, a look at Modern Warfare 2 and Battlefield: Bad Company's recent DLC, a round-up of the latest PSP comics releases and a look back at what made the original Dead Space so scary.

Oh, and we've also got our regular selection of screenshots, this week including Guitar Hero: Warriors Of Rock, Operation Flashpoint: Red River, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine and WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2011.

All of this comes at our regular price of 99p per episode, which works out at less than 75p if you take out a 90-day subscription for £8.99.

Sony Unveils FirstPlay Episode 19 Preview, Arrives Wednesday

228w ago - Sony's Editor In Chief Tim Clark at FirstPlay has unveiled a preview today of FirstPlay Episode 19, which arrives this Wednesday for subscribers.

To quote: I'm here to guide you safely up the north face of episode 19. The show hits the Store this Wednesday, and in it we'll be bringing you HD video footage of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II.

And if you like the look of the game, celebrate by installing the free theme in this week's downloads section. You'll have to do the lightsaber noise yourself, though.

Sony Unveils New PlayStation Home Square and Shopping Centre

236w ago - Today SCEE Community Lead Alex Weekes has unveiled a new PlayStation Home Square and Shopping Centre.

To quote: Today, we're pleased to announce that this Thursday we cut the ribbon and open the brand new Home Square and Shopping Centre!

We're really excited about finally releasing the new spaces, where we'll be able to bring you, the community that makes PlayStationHome what it is, exciting new experiences.

So read on to find out more about the completely revamped spaces and new content housed within them: there's so much I'm not quite sure where to start...

We'll kick off with the harbour-side Home Square, where you'll find plenty of exciting new attractions. Joining existing buildings - such as the cinema and bowling alley - you'll find all-new mini-games including Supa-Fun Robo-Goalie Time!!, a game where you will be put on the spot to kick home penalty shots past an increasingly skilful robot goalie.

Towards the harbour frontage you'll find a video screen topped by a scrolling news ticker, where you'll be able to find out all the latest goings-on in Home. 239w ago - Today Sony's Associate Editor Nathan Ditum has unveiled a video preview of FirstPlay Episode 8, which arrives tomorrow via PSN.

To quote: FirstPlay episode 8 is on the Store from Wednesday, and there's never been a better time to subscribe.

This week we're giving away the addictive arcade minis title Blast Off, and there are two more minis titles to follow in the next two eps.

We've also got demos, themes and avatars on the way very soon, all of which you'll get for free if you buy a 90 day subscription for just £8.99.

As for the videos, this week we start with a HD review of the sun-kissed arcade racer Split/Second: Velocity, which is mostly about blowing things up and looking pretty and therefore pretty amazing.
