116w ago - Recently Sony's Shuhei Yoshidaconfirmed that PlayStation Vita will be region-free, and over the weekend GameSpot (linked above) did an interview with him discussing PS Vita's US / EU launch slated for early next year.
Previously, we reported that PS Vita is scheduled to hit Japan on December 17, 2011.
To quote: "Currently, with the PlayStation 3 and PSP, physical media is released region-free, allowing games published in one country to be played without hassle in another.
However, Sony's digital strategy restricts content to the region in which it is released, with access being determined by the region of a user's PlayStation Network profile.
As announced earlier this week, the PS Vita will launch alongside 26 games in Japan on December 17. Sony expects to release its newest gaming hardware in Europe and North America sometime in early 2012."
116w ago - Sony Computer Entertainment America Product Evaluator Nick Suttner has shared a new video today confirming that users should make space in their intergalactic gardens on October 4th for Eufloria which hits PlayStation Network then.
To quote: I know it's been a while since we last spoke, but the Pub Fund group at SCEA has been hard at work on bringing interesting, exclusive content to PSN. Okabu, Papo & Yo, and more clandestine projects are still on the horizon, but today I'm here to drop the launch details for Eufloria - a very different, very special sort of strategy game.
It's tough to distill the concept down to a couple of sentences without doing the experience a huge injustice, but this excellent trailer should give you an idea of the mood and visual direction:
Now take that ethereal aesthetic, and the tingling that you're feeling in your temples, and fold a layer of smartly accessible strategy elements over it. You'll be exploring, conquering and colonizing enemy asteroids without the need for messy tech trees or arcane controls.
It's a rare game that satisfies both ends of the art game/strategy game spectrum, but I think that Eufloria nails it. It's also tunable in either direction - play on the less hectic Chilled...

To quote: Greetings! As you've seen lately, we've released some additional information here and there on Gravity Rush and I wanted to give you all a bit more info on this PS Vita exclusive.
First off, if you haven't already, meet Kat:
You'll be assuming the role of our cel-shaded heroine, who wakes in a strange city with no memory of how she got there. While exploring the town, she encounters a black cat (clever, huh?), who grants her the ability to control the gravity around her.
From there, the story unfolds across multiple chapters as Kat uses her newfound powers to not only help a city that's (literally) breaking apart, but to figure out the mystery of her past and what (or who) has brought her here. Using the PS Vita, you'll be able to release Kat from gravity's hold and shift her center of gravity to completely change her perspective and gain access to previously unseen areas of the stages you play in.
Whether "falling" towards the side of a tower or virtually any visible surface, Kat can be brought back to a floating state with a simple trigger pull, or...
