Red Ribbon RC 7 GNU / Linux for PlayStation 3 is Now Available

98w ago - Following up on his previous update, today PlayStation 3 developer r04drunner has announced that a RC7 update for Red Ribbon GNU / Linux on the PS3 entertainment system is now available.

To quote: Red Ribbon release candidate 7 is now available. It is based on Debian Wheezy and It includes the following changes:

  • Kernel 3.7.1 with the Graf_chokolo's, Marcan's and Gitbrew's patches.
  • New version of the installer with some features added and some bugs fixed.
  • New version of the Red Ribbon theme.
  • Iceweasel (Firefox) updated to the 17 release.
  • Asbestos and OtherOS now will use the same kernel.
  • Kboot now will set the latest kernel as the default boot option.
  • Added a new tool to configure the timeout on Petitboot.
  • Added support for Playstation Eyetoy.
  • Added GUVCview as the tool for capturing video from the webcam.
  • Gnome-Player is now the media player.
  • Added a new tool to configure the PS3's video mode.
  • Added support for NTFS.

Available on PSN for $9.99, It adds three new maps and three new characters to the sneaky - yet brutal - multiplayer, and introduces a little extra variety to your Animus-simulated mayhem.

Video: Haunt the House: Terrortown Possesses PlayStation Mobile

98w ago - SFB Games Founder Tom Vian posted up a video showcasing Haunt the House: Terrortown which will be possessing PlayStation Mobile users today!

We've been making games for many years (mostly for browsers, under the name "The Super Flash Bros." and this is our first opportunity to make a game that can be enjoyed on a real handheld console.

When we heard about PlayStation Mobile and thought about PS Vita as a platform, there was only one game we had in mind. The colourful graphics and simple controls of Haunt the House work perfectly in this context - it's a really natural fit.

The original Haunt the House was a browser game we made for Halloween back in 2010, and since then we've come a long way as designers.

The basic idea of Haunt the House: you float around as a ghost, possessing any objects you see and use them to perform spooky haunting actions to any humans who are nearby! The aim of the game is to scare every single human away from the town, but this game also has an extra objective.
