42w ago - Ubisoft Producer Adam Sarasohn has confirmed for fans that The Expendables 2: The Videogame will be blowing the top off PSN Play beginning today.

To quote: The Expendables 2: The Videogame will be kicking off the PSN PLAY program today, giving PlayStation gamers the first chance to play this explosive shooter.

Following the critically acclaimed action movie series by Lionsgate and Millennium Films, The Expendables 2: The Videogame put gamers in control of four of the world's top mercenaries - Barney Ross, Hale Caesar, Gunner Jensen and Yin Yang - as they embark on a rescue mission for a kidnapped billionaire.

Each mercenary will have a distinct play style giving you the choice to tackle enemies up-close or from afar. Here's a quick breakdown of each of the characters weapons and abilities:

Barney Ross: As the leader of the Expendables, Barney is a solid all-around character with no particular weaknesses. His dual pistols or Colt revolver make short work of weaker enemies, while a well-timed grenade toss can take out turrets, tanks, and whatever else the game throws your way. To quote: Hey everyone, Shawn here again. I'm dropping by to let you know the Dyad Demo launches today! Yay!

Mare Sheppard of Metanet Software, David Kanaga (Dyad's composer) and I worked tirelessly through the night to create a new trailer announcing the launch of the demo.

It's a playful take on the first Dyad trailer and other game trailers. I got to star in my very own trailer; that's pretty neat! I hope everyone has a good laugh, and yes, that's my real hair!

43w ago - Digital Distribution Senior Manager Pierre Gravereau has announced alongside a video that as part of PSN PLAY fans can pre-order The Expendables 2 starting today.

Below are the details, to quote: PSN PLAY is just starting to heat up, and starting today, you can pre-order the first game in this year's line-up.

The Expendables 2 is the first title available for PSN PLAY, and it's launching first exclusively on PS3!

The Expendables 2 is a co-op arcade-style shoot 'em up, and takes place just before the events of the upcoming movie of the same name.

Up to four players can join up to take part in an action-packed rescue mission spanning a number of exotic locales. If you missed the announcement trailer, be sure to check it out below.
