Top 5 Exclusive XBox 360 Games of 2009

50°
312w ago - The XBox 360 had a great year in 2008, featuring a couple of great exclusives in Gears of War 2 and Fable II. In 2009, here are the top 5 exclusive picks:

Halo 3: ODST - Given Microsoft's complete lack of clarity on their 2009 line-up, the only title that they're currently (and exclusively) offering in 2009 that I am interested in is Halo 3: ODST. Despite Halo 3 being somewhat of a disappointment to me, I find myself irresistibly excited by the prospect of a new Halo game.

The series still has some kick ass weapons, great maps and fantastic controls to boot–and with it being Bungie developed, it's a safe bet to be one of the better titles of the year. It certainly doesn't hurt that it'll be a budget priced game, either.

Star Ocean: The Last Hope - I'm a sucker for RPG's, and I'm also a sucker for Star Ocean games. I remember playing the first Star Ocean way back when it was first released. I'll be truthful in saying I haven't playing every single one, but now that it's finally coming to the 360 I couldn't be more excited. Not too much information has been revealed about The Last Hope, but it looks like it will be a beautiful game at the very least.

Splinter Cell: Conviction - Splinter Cell Conviction has been long awaited ever since...

Exclusive PlayStation 3 FLOCK! Winter Demo on Qore via PSN

50°
316w ago - Capcom's John Diamonon answered the following question today via PS Blog: You're probably thinking, "What the flock is FLOCK!?"

Well, today you're going to find out because we have a little surprise for you in the free issue of Qore today.

Below are a couple of videos that show some of the quirky and original gameplay you'll see in the game.

I want to introduce you to one of my co-workers, Robby Zinchak. Don't let his young looks fool you. He's an up-and-coming associate producer extraordinaire who's ready to answer all your questions regarding this truly unique, downloadable game. Just don't ask him to show you his ID. (Just kidding Robby.)

Hi! This is my first time posting here, so I figure I should introduce myself first My name is Robby, and I'm the Associate Producer on FLOCK! here at Capcom. As mentioned previously on this blog, the new episode of Qore (available today!) includes both a video feature on FLOCK! and a fully playable demo!

The premise of FLOCK! is simple: you're a UFO (the 'Flocker') which seeks to abduct animals. Through the levels, you'll abduct these cute animals by herding them into your Motherflocker (yes, really, we named the ship that :P). But it's not a simple...

Mirror's Edge DLC Packs a PlayStation 3 Exclusive

100°
316w ago - Sony's Social Media Manager Jeff Rubenstein passed along some news he received from EA today as follows:

Mirror's Edge developer DICE is planning a special treat for PLAYSTATION 3 owners. When downloadable content for the game is released in late January, they'll make an exclusive Time Trial map available free, only for PS3.

More info on the DLC from EA:

Players will be challenged to achieve the fastest times possible on nine races across seven all-new and totally redesigned Time Trial maps. No guns, no cops, and no city: this is true aesthetics, agility and flow that will challenge any runner.

I think the video says it best:

This special DLC pack will be available for $10. Look for an update on the PlayStation.Blog right before it hits the PlayStation Store.
