105w ago - PlayStation Store Director Grace Chen is here with the new US PSN release updates for this week today, as follows:

The higly anticpated 2D fighter Skullgirls is now available to download on the PlayStation Store!

A fast-paced, 2D fighting game developed with the tournament fighting game community in mind, Skullgirls draws on the best features the genre has to offer and is designed to be a tournament-grade fighter while remaining approachable and engaging for the casual player. Don't forget there is a demo available as well.

Other big beats dropping this week are World Gone Sour and sweet new GTA content. If you need a sugar fix, you'll want to check out World Gone Sour. Assume the role of a lost piece of candy destined to find its way to the ultimate goal: your stomach!

On the other hand, if you missed out on the critically acclaimed Add-ons to Grand Theft Auto IV, you can now download them as the PS3 Full Game section sees the release of Grand Theft Auto IV Episodes From Liberty City. PlayStation Plus subscribers can pick up this content for the great price of $11.99 for this week only.

The Pinball Arcade is out now on the PlayStation Store . PS3 and PS Vita owners take note: when you purchase the PS3 version, you get the PS Vita version bundled along...

Grab Your PlayStation Vita, Free Escape Plan Update is Now Live!

200°
105w ago - Following up on the previous update, today Fun Bits Interactive Team Lead Chris Millar has announced that the free Escape Plan ppdate is now live for PlayStation Vita owners!

To quote: Today, Escape Plan owners will be happy to see new content popping up on their Vita for download.

The first pack, Bakuki's Lair, is a FREE level pack that adds 19 prequel-puzzle rooms to the adventures of Lil and Laarg. To download the levels, just update the game from Escape Plan's LiveArea directly on your PS Vita.

Fans of Escape Plan have helped push the game into the #1 spot on PSN worldwide, and so we're happy to report that we are improving the experience with a handful of adjustments that were requested directly from gamers.

Players can now squeeze Lil while swiping, front and back taps are more precise, earning stars is just based on time and there are some more hints in sticky situations.

Our plan for Escape Plan is to continue supporting fans and community worldwide by growing the game and updating the title with new features. If you haven't yet picked up Escape Plan, it's available now on PSN for $14.99.

Watch The Latest Starhawk Trailer on Facebook, Get Free PS3 DLC

200°
105w ago - SCEA Product Marketing Manager Chuck Lacson has announced today that fans can watch the latest Starhawk video trailer on Facebook and get free PS3 DLC to boot.

To quote: You may have noticed how our past trailers have focused on the things that make Starhawk so much fun to play.

Build to Kill was all about the fun of building a base and defending it against attack. Ride, Drive & Fly gave people a taste of what you can drive and pilot in-game.

Our latest trailer is all about the fun of teamwork, it's called "Build Your Team" and it's exclusively on Facebook.

Just click here to give it a view. You may recognize some familiar faces. Very familiar.

For those of you who have tried Starhawk already, you know that skills can get you far, but teamwork can get you further. The game becomes something completely different when you play with your friends and start working together. That's what our latest trailer is about. It also stars an "interesting" cast of characters....

Videos: The Pinball Arcade Scores on PS3 and PS Vita Today

100°
105w ago - FarSight Studios Lead Designer Bobby King has shared some new video footage of The Pinball Arcade, which scores on both the PS3 and PS Vita console today!

To quote: With the PS3 and PS Vita launches of The Pinball Arcade on PSN this week, I thought that I'd share a few more details about our game and offer some general gameplay tips.

The launch tables include one from each of the four major manufactures that we've licensed. Tales of the Arabian Nights (Williams), Ripley's Believe It or Not (Stern), Theatre of Magic (Bally), and Black Hole (Gottlieb).

Tales and Black Hole were part of the Pinball Hall of Fame games. We've spent a lot of time improving the physics and the graphics of our pinball engine over the past few years, so we feel that they're definitely worthy of updating.

When we first made the Gottlieb collection we gathered references from the Pinball Hall of Fame in Las Vegas. We took a lot of pictures, recorded the audio with microphones, and took notes on the rules along with gameplay video reference. We actually re-programmed all of the rules from scratch.

That was a huge challenge! Now, we buy all of the tables and take them apart. Plus, we now have a bunch of physics...

Video: One Bullet Can Change History in Sniper Elite V2 on PS3

105w ago - Rebellion Senior Producer Steve Hart has shared a video today demonstrating how one bullet can change history in Sniper Elite V2 on PS3.

To quote: It's been seven years since the first Sniper Elite came out, so it's a really exciting time for us this week - we'll be showing gamers how amazing the reboot is shaping up in the demo we're releasing on the PlayStation Store.

All the previews for the game have been immense and the media have really been loving it and understanding what we've tried to do. It's only fair that gamers now get the chance to play, ahead of the full game's launch on May 4th.

The game definitely isn't 'run and gun', it's much more of a thinking man's shooter. You literally don't know what's around the next corner, so you have to think ahead and live by the mantra - Observe. Plan. Execute.

The demo is of a level early in the game where you have to hijack an armored convoy and assassinate a leading V2 rocket engine specialist. We really want people to experiment with the different ways you can play through the level.

It's not always about shooting - sometimes it's more advantageous to slip by unnoticed. Rather than take out one soldier...
