Red Barrels Announces Outlast is Out Today: Survival Horror on PS4

400°
32w ago - Red Barrels Co-Founder Philippe Morin announced that Outlast PS4 is officially out today bringing survival horror to PlayStation 4.

To quote: Hello gamers! I'm Philippe Morin, one of the co-founders of [Register or Login to view links].

Our first game, Outlast, is coming to PS4 today, and I'm excited to share that those of you who are PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to download it completely for free.

Outlast itself is a survival-horror game created by a team of 11 people with one common goal: to scare the *bleep* out of you.

Here's the story so far... In the remote mountains of Colorado, horrors wait inside Mount Massive Asylum. A long-abandoned home for the mentally ill, the facility was recently re-opened by the "research and charity" branch of the transnational Murkoff Corporation.

Taking advantage of the Asylum's history and remote location, they've been operating in strict secrecy. That is, they were until the reporter arrived.

Acting on a tip from an anonymous source, independent journalist Miles Upshur has broken into the facility, and what he is about to discover inside will walk a terrifying line between science and religion, nature and something entirely other. Trapped with nightmares old and new, his only...

10Tons Ltd Announces King Oddball is Out Today on PlayStation Vita

50°
32w ago - 10Tons Ltd PR Coordinator Jaakko Maaniemi announced that King Oddball is out today on PlayStation Vita with details below.

To quote: Hi, readers! 10tons is back this week with another PS Vita game - a unique and eccentric, skill-based puzzler called King Oddball.

As the title states, King Oddball is... unusual. Sure, the Angry Birds comparison comes to mind quickly, but King Oddball stands on its own handsomely.

Like Angry Birds, King Oddball is about clearing the level of enemies by squashing them with lobbed objects. And the way it's done is all about physics.

Unlike Angry Birds, King Oddball's levels fit in single screen, and there's (basically) only one kind of ammo to lob: rocks. And you don't get to throw them around any way you please, either.

Oh, no. The King automatically picks up the rocks and swings them back and forth by his tongue, and the player merely releases the rock by pressing X or tapping the screen. That's it.

It may sound easy, and it is... until it gets hard. It may also sound simple, and it is... until it gets complicated. The beauty of the gameplay mechanics lies in the fact that we've tightened the physics engine's precision screws as tight as they go.

That way we achieve accuracy and predictability with the...

To quote: Hi there! This is Alexey Menshikov, CEO of Ukraine-based Beatshapers. I'm excited finally back to announce our new project - Ready to Run.

In case you're not familiar with Beatshapers, we're a small developer and digital publisher from Kiev, Ukraine. To date, we've published 19 games on PlayStation Store. Sony Announces Curve Studios Mega Bundle is Now Available

50°
33w ago - Curve Studios PR and Marketing Manager Rob Clarke announced today that their Mega Bundle is now available with details below.

To quote: Hey everyone! Rob here from Curve Studios. We're probably one of the most active indie studios on PlayStation right now - we released five indie titles for PS3 and four titles for Vita in 2013, and we've got at least four more coming this year that we'll be announcing very soon.

We've been thinking about making a bundle of our games for a while, and we're happy to announce that you'll be able to pick up four of our best titles from 2013 in a single, happy package right now.

These games would cost over $45 if you purchased them individually, but we're launching the bundle for the first two weeks at only $14.99, with a further discount for PlayStation Plus members, which means Plus subscribers only pay $13.49 for the following games:

• Lone Survivor (Survival Horror)
• Thomas Was Alone (Puzzle Platformer)
• Proteus (Exploration)
• Stealth Inc: A Clone in the Dark (Action Platformer)

That's four titles for the regular price of one - way better than buy one, get one free - and did we mention all of these games are cross buy enabled? No, we did not! But they are, so you can swap between the PS3 and PS Vita versions...
