205w ago - SCEE's Ross McGrath of the PlayStation Store Team has posted up this weeks European PSN Game Store updates today, as follows:

Welcome back all, I hope everyone has been settling back into work okay and everyone's sticking to their New Year's resolutions!

Another fairly small update this week with a few highlights I wanted to point out. After last week's sudden removal from the schedule, the Angry Birds mini does finally make it onto the PSN Store this week, so make sure you give those pigs what for.

Also, we have a genuine PSone Classic in the form of Tomb Raider Chronicles - yes, we now have the first and last games in the PSone Tomb Raider series... the middle ones are on their way soon too. And don't forget that this week we are providing you with the DC Universe Online subscriptions for one, three or six months of game time, so when your free month runs out we've got you covered.

On PSP, Buzz: The Ultimate Music Quiz hits for all you would be musical masterminds to test your knowledge and we have a small selection of permanent price reductions on some great PSP titles too.

Also a quick bit of service information for you:

• The final content list for the January Sales will go up in a separate blog post on Monday (like we did for...

206w ago - Today SCEE's Ross McGrath of the PlayStation Store Team has shared the first European PSN game store updates for the new year!

To quote: This week we've got a relatively small update for our first week back but with plenty to keep you interested.

There's a new batch of Specials, including either flavour of fiendishly competitive card game UNO (PS3 or PSP) for only 99 Euro cents. Who can say no to that? Also of note, Legends of War: Patton's Campaign, the very well received strategy PSP title released in the last part of 2010 has been permanently reduced by 33% - I urge you all to check out the reviews online and give it a try.

2K get in on the digital BD action with Borderlands hitting the Store this week and Ubisoft bring us the much anticipated Assassin's Creed: Ascendance.

More Trinity Universe DLC and absolutely tons of Rock Band tracks (including a substantial free track pack) round off our add-ons.

If anyone is still pondering whether to grab Kung-Fu LIVE, Virtual Air Guitar have answered the call and supplied you with a demo to see if you've got what it takes to become a Kung-Fu master.

The PSP NEOGEO Station gets a few more of the missing titles, including the brilliant Samurai Shodown, we've got two new minis and there's...

50°
208w ago - SCEE PlayStation Store Team's Ross McGrath has shared news of a special festive sale today that the European PSN game store is having, as follows:

Happy holiday wishes from all of us at SCEE!

I've hopped on the blog a couple of days early to give you the chance to prepare your wallets for the Festive Sale, which will run from 22nd December to the 5th January.

We've got loads of fantastic offers for you, new titles and old, to help you swell your games collection this holiday, spanning both PS3 and PSP from a wide selection of publishers.

You may have noticed that some publishers are not involved in this sale - while I won't go into details yet, I'm sure you can figure out what's going on and if not, all will be revealed in the new year.

But enough about what's not here - let's focus on what is. There's a great selection of PSN titles on offer at some great prices, including around 50% off Joe Danger, Worms 2: Armageddon and Lead and Gold. We've also got half-off on episodic titles with Blue Toad Murder Files and Tales of Monkey Island - perfect if you've passed on them so far.

We've also got a couple of classic PSN titles in the form of Bomberman Ultra and Burn Zombie Burn! And at these prices you have the perfect excuse...

209w ago - Today Ross McGrath of the SCEE PlayStation Store Team has posted up the European PSN Game Store updates, as follows:

This week you can complete your Prince of Persia HD trilogy with Warrior Within and The Two Thrones and Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves comes to the main Store (no, it really does this time - last week was a practice).

Prinny 2 and Bakugan on PSP, plus five new minis land today and also worth a mention is the Disney PSone Classics - they've all been dropped in price, to the tune of one Euro (or equivalent) each.

We also have tons of DLC this week for a wide range of titles, including another free update for Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood (multiplayer this time) and more DLC for PSN favourites like Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, Joe Danger and Mushroom Wars.

You can now also get your hands on the Borderlands Extravasplosion Add-on Pack, which aside from being a candidate for the best named DLC in all of human history provides you with all four of the fantastic Borderlands expansions at a budget price. So if you've been denying yourself a trip to Zombie Island, now's the time to consider packing your bags and strapping on a bite-proof helmet.
