If you can't make it to spring training and are already counting down the days until the official first pitch is thrown, then you're in luck. Now baseball fans everywhere will have the chance to hone their skills and get in the game a little early this season. In preparation, Kevin Butler is back, challenging Twins All-Star catcher, Joe Mauer, to a battle at the plate.

116w ago - Today Sucker Punch Productions Development Director Chris Zimmerman has revealed alongside a video that InFamous 2 for PS3 will be getting user-created missions offering infinite possibilities as part of a limited Beta this April.
To quote: Here at Sucker Punch, we've spent the last couple of years hard at work on inFAMOUS 2.
Over the last nine months or so, we've talked about a lot of things that make I2 awesome--things like crazy new powers for Cole, super-powered sidekicks, radically improved graphics and special effects, a cool new karma system with branching story lines and multiple endings--but we've managed to keep one major feature completely secret. Until today.
Sandbox games like inFAMOUS 2 are a ton of fun. There's a whole city to explore, and we provide lots of stuff to do in the city... but no matter how many missions and mini-missions and systemic opportunities and branching story lines we add to the game, eventually the story ends.
We thought inFAMOUS 2 would be better if it didn't end--if you never ran out of missions and mini-missions to play and things to do. So... we spent the last two years adding a User-Generated Content feature to the game.
116w ago - Today berserker_devel at the XDA Developers site has shared some videos (below) on BlueputDroid, which is an application that allows Android phones to control a PS3 acting as a PS3 Bluetooth keyboard remote control.
To quote from GamesRadar.com (linked above): "The independent developer has tested it out on the Nexus One, HTC Wildfire, and LG Optimus One - all with rooted firmwares. He was not able to get it working on the Optimus One.
BlueputDroid is the first app to allow a smartphone to pair up with the PS3 as an input device. There have been other Bluetooth apps for Android that more flexibility in syncing the phone to a computer, but this is the first working app for PS3 connectivity."
From the video's caption: "This is a work in progress of my last Android application "BlueputDroid". With this app you will be able to use your device as a bluetooth keyboard for your PS3.
Nexus One Tested on a rooted Nexus One running a "clean" Cyanogen 6.1.1 (root is required to make it work). A beta version will be released soon on the Android Market, stay tuned!"
Finally, the list of currently supported and unsupported devices is below:
117w ago - Sony's Senior Social Media Specialist Sid Shuman has shared a video trailer today for Dead Space 2 PS3 Severed DLC and confirmed it hits PSN tomorrow.
To quote: Dead Space 2 gets an afterlife tomorrow with the PSN release of Dead Space 2: Severed. This downloadable expansion picks up where PlayStation Move-enabled shooter Dead Space: Extraction left off, with (spoiler!) the escape of security officer Gabe Weller and surveyor Lexine Murdoch from the doomed colony of Aegis VII.
Fate ultimately brings the pair to another very bad place: the Sprawl, otherwise known as the source of Dead Space 2's Necromorph outbreak. While Issac Clarke is busy tracking down the Marker and battling his inner demons, Gabe is pursuing a more personal objective - locating Lexine, who's been abandoned somewhere in the dark recesses of the station.
Played through Gabe's eyes, Severed brings a different perspective to the events of Dead Space 2 and fleshes out the backstory of both characters, complete with a few twists and turns for good measure.
I went hands-on with the first chapter of Severed in a guided tour narrated by Dead Space 2 Producer Scott Probst and Executive Producer Steve Papoutsis. Decked out in high-tech...
117w ago - SCEA Associate Product Marketing Manager Chuck Lacson has shared a new InFamous 2 PS3 Karma trailer video today and more, as follows:
Today we kick off the weekend with GTTV's visit to Sucker Punch and a new trailer where Cole is caught between two women. (That guy has it rough, doesn't he?)
New Karma Duality Trailer
So we've been talking a lot about the game's new Karma system the last few weeks. The Western interpretation of Karma (according to my good friend Wikipedia) states that performing positive actions results in a good condition and negative actions results in bad effect and situations.
In inFAMOUS 2, Cole will have new powers and will come across many crossroads. Ultimately, it will be up to you to decide the path you want him to walk. Look out for Cole's good and evil outfits, a sneak peek of a new faction he has to face, and a small taste of Cole's new ICE POWERS!
