179w ago - SCEE's Ross McGrath of the PlayStation Store Team is here with this weeks European PSN updates today, to quote:

So what's on the menu this week? New offers hit, with both Alien Breed titles reduced in preparation for the launch of the third outing, Sky Fighter, a selection of Split/Second unlocks and a few choice PSone titles - plus let's not forget the second round of minis from our February Mega minis Sale.

Dragon's Lair bursts onto the scene, heading up our new PSN releases this week, and in polar contrast, Acceleration of Suguri brings the fast paced robot destruction.

TNT Racers arrives for both PS3 and PSP, but the PS3 version is a FirstPlay exclusive this week. The rest of you can grab it from the 23rd.

New PSP games arrive (Final Fantasy!), we've got more of those Flag themes you guys love so much and there are new minis, including the iOS hit, Zenonia.

Of course we've also got the single player KillZone 3 demo for you, which comes in both regular and 3D flavour for you early adopters. Not long to wait for the full game! If you're a fan of the genre, it'll blow your hat off. Replace hat with whatever word you feel most comfortable with.

And worthy of note, but not listed here in the content update (although it'll be back...

To quote: The new contents where we go believing because of you, including the monopolistic article of splendidly new PSN, Explodemon this week it possesses!

No, I haven't quite gone completely off the deep end yet, this is merely my homage to Curve Studios' PSN-Exclusive Explodemon!, which hits the Store today. You are tasked with saving your world from evil alien invaders by blowing yourself up repeatedly and often - this is exactly why video games were invented as far as I'm concerned. But Explodemon is only one of the great titles we have for you today...

Stacking (which is being given away in Plus this week) is the latest adventure/puzzler from Double Fine, following the story of Charlie, full time chimney sweep and Russian doll, as he attempts to save his family from the evil Baron.

Tales from Space: About a Blob gives you the chance to be part of your own sci-fi B-movie as you make your way through colourful environments, mercilessly devouring all in your path to become an unstoppable force of blobitude (yes, it is a word).

We also have the ultimate 'Breakout' experience for you in the form of Ricochet HD, the last word in horticultural-based...

181w ago - SCEE's Ross McGrath of the EU PlayStation Store Team has posted up the European PSN game store updates today.

To quote: Highlights this week include the kick off of the Mega minis Sale where you can grab 20 top-shelf minis for 99p/€1.19 each; X-Men Arcade (finally!), which allows up to 6 players to kick some backside in a retro, side-scrolling beat-down as the classic X-men; and Bionic Commando Rearmed 2, the robot arm action platformer with attitude.

We've also got trials for both Beat Sketcher and Tetris if you've been waiting to try before you buy. There's also a small selection of additional Special Offers for those in search of the odd bargain.

PSP has BlazBlue Calamity Trigger, fan favourite 2D fighting action, and Lord of Arcana, the much anticipated and highly acclaimed action RPG.

But the star of the show this week has to be the Killzone 3 Multiplayer Beta opening up to all Store users - previously Plus only, now everyone has a chance to get stuck in and blow each other's brains out in an orgy of blood and violen... sorry, I got a bit sidetracked there. Long story short, it's awesome, grab it when it becomes available (here's the bad news) at 11am GMT tomorrow morning.

Also with regard to The Undergarden, despite the charming blog entry...

182w ago - SCEE's Ross McGrath of the PlayStation Store Team is here with this weeks European PSN updates today, as follows:

The mighty Dead Space 2 launches this week, bringing with it a new standard in survival horror, but let's not forget that the PS3 version takes it up a notch with the inclusion of Dead Space: Extraction, the semi on-rails shooter prequel to Dead Space and one of the best Nintendo Wii games of 2009.

Re-mastered in HD, Move compatible (but also supports the Dual Shock) and complete with co-op, this is a game no Dead Space fan should be without - for the time being, new copies of Dead Space 2 will have Extraction included in the box, but for all you thrifty second-hand purchasers or those who wait to get Dead Space 2 and miss out on the Limited Edition, you can always snag Extraction direct from the Store.

What else is on offer this week? Well, this update is small but perfectly formed and we have a little bit of everything.

We've got the demo for BulletStorm, the surprisingly awesome new shooter from Epic Games - the demo gives you a chance to run through one level and attempt to get the best score possible - online leaderboards are implemented too.

PSP get two new RPGs in the form of Spectral Souls II, strategy RPGing at its finest and another...

I hope you had a good start to the week and 'Blue Monday' didn't hit you too hard! It's Wednesday so we've got a Store update for you, including the kick off of the January sales.

Two fabulous new PSN games hit today (complete with trials) in the form of Spare Parts - the new robotic adventure from EA and Modern Combat: Domination, a Move-enabled FPS with compelling gameplay at a compelling price. If you've ever played a game of Counterstrike you'll be instantly at home with this one.

New minis hit as well, including the wildly popular Shift extended, the previously Plus-only Pipe Madness and Soccer Bashi.

Downloadable content? Well why not, eh? Trinity Universe, Tron: Evolution, R.U.S.E. and lots of extra bits and pieces for the newly released Mass Effect II - but don't get the Cerberus pack if you've purchased a version of the game with the extra content included in the box.

Also we've got another multiplayer update for Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood which will cost you precisely nothing - isn't that nice?
