Video: Sony Re-Introduces The World of Binary Domain on PSN

127w ago - Sony PlayStation Store Manager Mike Kebby has re-introduced the world of Binary Domain on PSN today to fans.

To quote: The Machine Age Has Begun - I'm sure you'll have already heard of [Register or Login to view links]'s forthcoming game Binary Domain - from the legendary creator that is Toshihiro Nagoshi - so for most of you this is something of a re-introduction.

For those of you who haven't then please allow me the pleasure of giving you the lowdown on our forthcoming title.

The narrative focus of the game is thus: the world is a much different place in the year 2080 and catastrophic climate changes since the 20th century have forced the major nations of the planet to adapt to new ways of living. Rising sea levels have wreaked havoc on many countries, resulting in new cities being built upward, and on top, of the older ruins of once-great metropolises.

Thankfully, incredible innovations in robotic technology have made these changes easier on humanity. Due to the huge undertaking of rebuilding existing cities, robots were manufactured at an incredibly fast rate in order to relieve a lot of the strain on manual labour supply.

Before people knew it, robots were everywhere and had taken over many of the other difficult and menial tasks that...

Video: Sony Announces Wheels of Destruction is Coming to PSN

127w ago - Today Lead Designer Kerim Borchaev has announced alongside a video trailer that Wheels of Destruction is coming to PlayStation Network.

To quote: Few things are as universal as the lust to drive fast and destroy expensive machinery. Everyone likes driving and crushing things, so when given the green light, Gelid Games leaped at the creation of Wheels of Destruction.

A lot of inspiring games came to mind, and we wanted to make our mark on the industry with an interpretation that is near and dear to us.

Before we got anywhere, we had to pick a platform, and going PSN exclusive was an obvious choice for us. Sony's platform has become much easier to develop on, and the fact that we're able to self-publish goes a long way in retaining our mindshare over the game. We wanted to know that every bit of perfection and every flaw was of our own design.

Once we had our platform in mind, we began searching for an engine. After trying as many that came through our doors, we found our place with the Unreal Engine, thanks to its great graphics and smooth asset production pipeline. We wanted to make the most out of the tools we had at our disposal.

Our ideas were grand, with levels five times larger than what production suggested we'd be able to accomplish. We knew that a fine...

127w ago - Designer Karl Jones has shared a WipEout 2048 video trailer for PS Vita today and introduced the ships with details below.

To quote: WipEout 2048 for the PlayStation Vita is available at retail stores and on the PlayStation Store starting today, February 15th.

And to help celebrate the launch we have a brand new trailer - check it out below!

I also wanted to tell you a little about the ships that you're going to get to play in the new game. Choosing the right ship couldn't be more important. Take the wrong ship to the track, and you're going to struggle. So here's some insider information to help you make those all-important ship choices as you get started with Wipeout 2048.

Speed Ships are the F1 cars of anti-gravity racing. They're sleek, delta-winged craft with minimal liveries. To look at, they're the closest to the original, classic dart-shaped Wipeout ships. These ships are all about going fast, but to go fast, they need to be light.

To shed weight, Speed Ships sacrifice bulkier components such as the extra defensive and offensive systems. Racing aside, Speed Ships are great for Time Trials and Speed laps.

Next up are our Agility Ships, and if Speed Ships are F1 cars, then Agility Ships are rally cars. These things are heavily liveried and...
