Video: Foosball 2012 PS3 to PS Vita Cross-platform Play Demo

100°
126w ago - Following up on their previous developer diary, today Grip Games CEO Jakub Mikyska has shared a new video spotlighting PS3-to-PS Vita Cross-platform play in upcoming title Foosball 2012.

To quote: I'm back to share more details about Foosball 2012! Specifically, to introduce the cross-platform functionalities between PS3 and PS Vita.

We didn't want to have a game that has a version for PS3 and a separate version for PS Vita. We wanted an experience where you don't need to worry about which device you are currently using, because you get exactly the same game - including your current progress, unlocks, and DLC - every time you play, regardless of whether you are currently on PS3 or PS Vita.

First of all, when you buy Foosball 2012, you'll get it for both the PS3 and PS Vita for a price of a single PSN game. The same applies for additional content that you will be able to buy. Purchase the game once and you can use it on both the PS3 and PS Vita.

Secondly, when you play the game, your saves are automatically uploaded to a cloud storage within PSN and synchronized between PS3 and PS Vita. Whenever you start the game, the progress you made on any platform,...

Video: Zen Studios Unveil KickBeat, PS Vita Music Combat Game

126w ago - Zen Studios Creative Director Neil Sorens has officially introduced PS Vita music combat game KickBeat today alongside a debut video trailer below!

To quote: Hello, PlayStation fans! I'm very excited to tell you about our new game: KickBeat.

It's a music game; it just doesn't look like one. Check it out, and then after the jump I'll tell you about how it works and some of the development history.

Music games have a long tradition of innovation. From the peripheral-based games like Guitar Hero and Dance Dance Revolution to controller-based ones like Frequency and Patapon, these games allow us to experience music in new and often unexpected ways.

KickBeat follows in the tradition of this type of music game. Although its beat-matching mechanic is not complex and will be familiar to fans of the music game genre, KickBeat does a couple things that make it different from anything else you've played...

And with publishers afraid to do anything except sequels to dance games, what better time than now to give the genre a kick in the pants?

126w ago - The Workshop President Peter Akemann has announced alongside the official PlayStation 3 launch trailer that Sorcery is casting a spell on PS3 gamers everywhere today!

To quote: Well, it's been a long time coming but today it's finally here - Sorcery! PlayStation Move is a magic wand at last!

Sorcery is the first of its kind - a full-fledged action adventure created natively for the PlayStation Move motion controller. All of us at The Workshop feel tremendously privileged that we could bring this game to life.

Many of you have been following us since our first announcement back at E3 2010 and we have worked tirelessly since then to meet the expectations that arose from our on-stage presentation.

It was a massive effort, and I cannot say enough about of the men and women who gave themselves so completely to the task. I also have to thank PlayStation for their profound commitment and willingness to believe in the vision, even when the road ahead was uncertain.

We all believe the result is truly something special - a timeless adventure and a genuinely new and immersive gaming experience.

A real game that serious gamers can sink their teeth into, yet one that casual players...

126w ago - Sony European Marketing Director Kevin Fryers in cooperation with Activision Blizzard UK Ltd have officially announced today that Men In Black (MIB) Alien Crisis is coming to the PlayStation 3 alongside a video trailer below.

To quote: It's been 10 years since the last movie but the franchise still remains a firm favorite amongst all age groups. With the [Register or Login to view links] movie this year and the video game, fans are going to be able to really feel the true MIB experience.

Men In Black Alien Crisis offers the chance to become a new recruit in the MIB organisation and allows the player to then live through an amazing story packed full of action.

The Noisy Cricket gun was a favorite in the movies and in the game it's really fun to use and even though it looks like a tiny palm sized firearm, it packs an unbelievable amount of power. Fans of all ages are going to love this experience as they chase and battle a wide variety of Aliens determined to vaporise them.

Watch out for the Nakkadan Elite in the game, they're pretty tough!
