122w ago - Producer Matt Prior has shared some video footage today on FIFA Soccer for PlayStation Vita below.

To quote: Coming this February, EA SPORTS FIFA Soccer on PS Vita will be the first true next generation sports experience right in the palm of your hand.

With console gameplay and HD graphics, FIFA Soccer delivers the largest feature set ever created by EA SPORTS for a handheld device.

The same physics-based, data driven technology that powers FIFA gameplay on PlayStation 3 drives FIFA Soccer on the Vita across eight different game modes, including authentic 11 versus 11, Be A Pro, Tournament Mode with over 50 real-world competitions, a full in-depth Career Mode, and head-to-head online.

The game definitely looks and plays like the award-winning FIFA console game.

So the game definitely delivers the authenticity and quality that the FIFA franchise is known for. But the cool stuff comes in the innovations that the development team up in Vancouver has cooked up to utilize front and back multitouch screens to create an intelligent and unique gameplay experience.

These Touch Screen features are optional......

122w ago - Sony Senior Social Media Manager Jeff Rubenstein has shared some new video footage today of the Intu-Aim feature in Uncharted: Golden Abyss on PS Vita below.

To quote: The Sony Bend Studios team working on Uncharted: Golden Abyss rolled into town touting something in that last category - the Vita-specific Intu-Aim feature.

This "aiming modifier" allows gamers to combine the six-axis gyro features of the Vita to fine tune the shots you line up with the right analog stick for greater precision.

In this exclusive new video, producer Darren Yager shows Drake's Intu-Aim aided gunning efficiency in action.

Also of note: Intu-aim is an optional feature; the team is committed to allowing you to play how you want to play.

Having tried it out, I found that you'll probably end up using it without even realizing you're doing it.

Video: Amy on PS3 Returns to the Roots of Survival Horror

122w ago - Today Djamil Kemal at Lexis Numerique has posted up a video trailer announcing that Amy for the PS3 is returning to the roots of survival horror.

To quote: As we get closer to the release of the game, which will be early next year, we wanted answer a question that has been asked many times: what kind of survival-horror game is Amy?

How do players cope with enemies? What kind of weapons can you use?

To answer those questions and more, we created the following video just for you:

As you can see, Amy is not about giving you huge power against enemies and giving players an action-oriented experience. Amy goes back to the roots of the survival-horror genre, and provides edge-of-your-seat suspense that will keep you wondering what's around the next corner.

While most games in the genre choose to either be action- or combat-based, or instill fear by making players feel vastly less powerful than their enemies, Amy combines the best of both worlds.

Paul Cuisset, the man behind Amy (and classic games such as Flashback), wanted to a new dimension, which is the cooperation between Amy and Lana.

Playing as Lana, you will have to decide whether you want to hide and...

Video: Hands-on Sorcery for PlayStation Move, Arrives in Spring

350°
122w ago - Sony Senior Social Media Specialist Sid Shuman has posted up a hands-on video today showcasing Sorcery for PlayStation Move, which is slated to arrive on PS3 in Spring 2012.

To quote: One of the more memorable action games I've played this year is a game uses the PlayStation Move motion controller to paint a symphony of destruction.

Last seen at the E3 2010 PlayStation press conference, Sorcery captured the imaginations of PS3 owners while remaining tantalizingly out of reach. At last week's PlayStation media showcase in New York City, I was finally allowed to go hands-on with Sorcery and speak with its design director, Brian Upton, who stated that the game is on-track to release this spring.

Sorcery is running on a heavily modified version of the Unreal engine, and the art direction has progressed by leaps and bounds since its last showing.

The game now skews a bit older, with nastier monster designs and edgier spellcasting combat. Watch the video, read our full Q&A, then let us know what you think of Sorcery in the comments!

PlayStation.Blog: I'll cut to the chase: Why have we had to wait so long to see Sorcery again?

Brian Upton, design director, Sorcery:...
