272w ago - Rock Band 2 is finally out now for Europe.. welcome to October, 2008 when North America got it.

At least you don't have to wait for all the downloadable content, that's been kept nicely up to date thanks to its compatibility with Rock Band 1.

In the US two new games are seeing release and, as usual, Japan is playing catch up. Here's the full release list:

US Games
• MLB Front Office Manager
• Afro Samurai

EU Games
• Rock Band 2

Asian Games
• Skate 2
• Tomb Raider Underworld

Don't forget PS3 games are region free, so feel free to go ahead and import any game from this list. The only caveat is that any DLC will need to be purchased from the respective PSN Store, which could be a problem.

Release dates are constantly subject to change, so be sure to check with your local retailer.

Global PlayStation 3 Releases for the Week of January 18, 2009

50°
273w ago - EA continues its January release schedule with Skate 2 which, no doubt, will be a bit better than Lord of the Rings: Conquest turned out to be. Hopefully.

Asia continues to play catch-up, as ever, with Prince of Persia and WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2009. Here's the full release list:

US Games
• Skate 2

EU Games
• Skate 2

Asian Games
• Skate 2
• Prince of Persia
• WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2009

PS3 games are region free. Not that it matters this week, but if you're feeling particularly barmy you could always import a version of Skate 2 from abroad. It'll still work.

Though any downloadable content would need to be downloaded from the appropriate region's PSN Store, so it's probably best not to. Release dates are constantly subject to change, so confirm with your local retailer before you leave the house.
