285w ago - Internet reports purported of an official, licensed Bluetooth headset made specifically for the PlayStation 3 back in March. Turns out it's real, as Sony confirmed today that the headset in question will be packaged with the retail-exclusive Blu-ray version of SOCOM: Confrontation and also will be sold separately.
Unlike most standard run-of-the-mill Bluetooth headsets, this one in particular will feature a mute button. Additionally, it will ship with a handy USB powered charging dock.
The product is slowly exiting the prototype phase, so pricing details have yet to be finalized, but expect more information to come to light as Confrontation nears its scheduled mid-September release.

285w ago - According to Pureauthor of NeoGAF, the latest issue of Nintendo Power has a full page article on the once-rumored Mega Man 9. While only the tiny scans are currently available, the article reportedly mentions that the game is in development by Inticreates of Mega Man ZX fame, and will be released digitally on WiiWare.
Will MM9 be making its way to other download outlets, such as PSN and XBLA? It's likely. Of course you can't expect Nintendo Power to mention that, though. Either way, expect an official announcement soon, on or before E3.
Splash Woman (Um, not too sure on the last one.)
285w ago - Filed under both the "frowny face" and "umm, duh?" news categories is confirmation from Ubisoft that there will be no Assassin's Creed sequel releasing in 2008.
Laurent Detoc, the uber rich president of Ubisoft North America, told Forbes that "there's no new 'Assassin's Creed' this year, despite its sales success," but that "when we bring it back, there will be more anticipation for it."
And even though you're semi-sad about the news, it isn't like you expected to be assassinating in 2008 anyway... right? Don't kid yourself kiddo.
