E3 2008 Expectations

50°
346w ago - This year E3 Media & Business Summit is coming back to Los Angeles, and its only a month away. E3 2008 will take place on July 15-17 and the heavy hitters will all be there and ready to blow your mind with the latest news, trailers, announcements, etc.

But what exactly can we expect at E3 2008, well lets take a look at the possibilities from each of the companies, Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo.

Microsoft Xbox 360

Microsoft has already revealed their 2008 Fall line up which definitely looks promising with titles such as Gears Of War 2, Fable 2, Banjo and Kazooie, Too Human, etc. But has Microsoft really showed us all, rumors say no, with all the talk of a Wii-mote like controller coming to the Xbox 360, Rare working on Killer Instinct, Lips?, we can definitely say that Microsoft will release the cats out of the bag at E3. But even then what do third party developers have to show off for the Xbox 360, last year Take-Two gave us Bioshock, can we expect a huge third party impact like that happening once again. No way to know until Microsoft hit center stage at E3 for their conference.

Nintendo Wii

"What we announce during E3 is gonna be fantastic. There's gonna be a big game for the holiday that the gamers (and expanded audience) will want," the words of the president...

Square Enix Kicks Faces: No E3 Demo At All

200°
346w ago - Oh, another day and another hour. This time we debunk a rumor. The latest one that just smashed through the window of hopes is the teary eyed rumor that there will be a demo for Final Fantasy XIII to display engine goodies for the highly anticipated RPG that PS3 people are fond of and 360 people are drooling to have.

Well, stop hoping and praying. Not answered in other words. Here's what Square Enix's NA PR has to say:

"We have no plans whatsoever to intro a playable demo or any demo at E3 on the FFXIII project."

Okay okay. Hold back the gushing tears of agony. So there won't be any playable demo this year at E3. Does it really surprise anyone? But one thing is for sure, you can all still keep hoping that some form of FFXIII will show up at E3.
