118w ago - Today Von Victor Zuylen at Guerrilla Games has shared details on the upcoming Killzone 3 PS3 patch 1.12 which arrives next week on September 6, 2011.
Below are the details, to quote: On Tuesday, September 6, Guerrilla will release patch 1.12 for Killzone 3.
This patch introduces several community-requested changes to Killzone 3, including an adjustment to the Marksman's scramble ability, better turrets for the Engineer, and an option to switch off Sixaxis-only actions for players with disabilities.
Here is the full list of changes included with patch 1.12:
• Changed Marksman's scramble ability into an active ability - The marksman scramble ability now needs to be activated and deactivated via the d-pad, and has a cooldown period.
• Increased tracking response for engineer turrets - The turn speed of turrets has been increased, allowing them to track players more easily.
• Increased armor for engineer turrets (30%) - Turrets can still be destroyed by a single explosion from a grenade or missile launcher.
• Improved StA-2 Battle Pistol - Detonation time for the StA-2 Battle Pistol's grenade is shorter, and the damage it deals is more severe.
118w ago - Insomniac Games Senior Community Manager James Stevenson has shared some video footage today for fans of when Resistance 3 for PS3 met Sony spokesman Kevin Butler.
To quote: As we lead up to Resistance 3's launch this Tuesday, we wanted to start your holiday weekend right with the two television commercials you will be seeing for Resistance 3 over the next few weeks.
These commercials will be airing during NFL games and my personal favorite, college football, as well as series premieres of some of the biggest shows on TV.
Why two commercials, you ask? Well, we have two great approaches for Resistance 3. One involves the story of Joseph Capelli's journey. In some ways this ties us back to the very first live-action prologue trailer that showed us the first glimpse of Resistance 3's grim new world.
Here you get a glimpse of the emotions and story that make up our game. We really feel like this ad wonderfully captures and encapsulates Resistance 3. Take a look:
Hope you liked that commercial and it got you pumped for the game's launch. That said, what's a huge PS3 exclusive without a Kevin Butler commercial? Maybe it's best if you just watch.
To quote: Here is another update to They Do Not Die 2.
Your health and energy are now displayed with progress bars instead of text.
There is a title/menu screen that comes up when you press the start button. You are also sent to this menu when the game first starts and when you die. From this menu you can resume your game, start a new game, create a game save or load a game save.
A shotgun has been added.
Running uses more energy.
Game saves are slightly smaller (although it is still fairly slow to create and load them).
To quote: This puts me at two (admittedly small) updates in only one day! Huzzah! Basically everything I said about the recent update to Dont Get Crushed applies to this new version of Cascade Beneath.
It has been remade with PSL1GHT, now works on CFW, has a new font, speeds up over time, pauses when the XMB is brought up, there have been some slight changes to the random placement of the gaps in the floors and there are several other nearly unnoticeable differences.
