208w ago - Today Mike Kebby of the SCEE PlayStation Store Team has posted this week's European PSN update, as follows:
Good morning - the store will be updated nice and early today, so I'm still a little bleary eyed.
Our batch of special offers for the festive period begins today, but we'll also be adding a few more titles next week too. From today though, you'll be able to grab games such as Burn Zombie Burn!, Bomberman Ultra and Battlefield 1943 at lower prices.
Also following the firmware update last week, minis now join the fun on PS3, so you can now enjoy the majority of our minis on both formats.
Next week we're updating the store on Tuesday the 22nd of December, and then that's it for the holidays - normal service will resume from Thursday the 7th of January.
Finally, as a personal Christmas gift to some of you lucky, lucky readers, I have some codes I'll be giving out over the next week - there is no competition to enter - all I'll be doing is scouring your comments and giving codes out to those who have left constructive / commendable feedback (think of this as a 'letter of the week' type deal, except it's more 'comments of the week'). These codes will be sent from my store management PSN account and will give you your code directly,...
209w ago - Today Mike Kebby from SCEE's PlayStation Store Team has shared this week's European PSN update, to quote:
So, we're into the business end of the year; three more store updates to go, and then the festivities begin.
Things are ramping up in terms of content, and I'm sure there is something that caters to everyone's tastes in each of the updates that round out the year. We'll also have a new batch of Special Offers next week to see out the year too, so keep your eyes peeled for those.
To start us off this week though, for PS3 we have the anticipated PixelJunk Shooter, combining old school mechanics and the usual quirky styling you expect from the guys behind the PixelJunk games.
Moving on to the PSP, we have a new batch of minis available (don't forget from the 17th minis will be playable on PS3 too), and you can also grab digital copies of Avatar and Tekken 6 (this title is not available until Friday however) too.
Finally, it's worth mentioning that there is additional Metal Gear Solid love for PSP this week, with the digital releases of Portable Ops, Portable Ops + and the Digital Graphic Novel.
There is plenty more available however, so for the full run...
210w ago - Update: For those curious, SCEE's Christmas Store updates are confirmed to be on December 22 and January 7th, 2010.
Today Mike Kebby from SCEE's PlayStation Store Team has posted this week's European PSN Store Update.
To quote: This week we see the Bayonetta demo released to our collective shores, so this seems to be definitely worth checking out, especially for fans of games such as Devil May Cry.
For the sports fans among you, in particular fans of the 'sweet science', there are additional boxers, and modes released for Fight Night Round 4 - Hopkins, Holyfield and Liston are great additions to the roster (but personally I'd especially love to see David Haye added at some point too).
For anybody who finds Veteran difficulty on Modern Warfare 2 far too easy, then you would have probably checked out Operation Flashpoint already and the additional pack Dragon Rising Skirmish releases today adding extra multiplayer maps and FTE missions to test your skills further.
Finally a quick mention of our latest batch of Special Offers, we have five PS3 titles and five PSP titles at reduced prices for two weeks, then from the 17th of December we will have a glut of promotions in celebration of Christmas. Full details below...
212w ago - Today Mike Kebby from the SCEE PlayStation Store Team has revealed this week's European PSN lineup, as follows:
For PS3 users you can get hold of Critter Crunch (trial and unlock) and Invincible Tiger, as well as the demo for Smash Cars, there are two packs available for Dragon Age: Origins (that's my weekend gone then) and a host of other content too.
Oh, did I mention a certain Snake makes an appearance this week too...we finally have the PSone classic Metal Gear Solid available!
Also, I think you PSP owners will be feeling some love this week with titles available such as LittleBigPlanet, Assassin's Creed Bloodlines, Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier, The Warriors and plenty more. There are also two further minis on the store this week, Echoes and Pinball Dreams; for the full list of this week's content have a scroll down.
There will also be a couple of titles made available this coming Tuesday (24th of November)... I was going to be mean and keep you waiting but I wouldn't do that to you all. Therefore on Tuesday you'll be able to get hold of Gravity Crash (both the full game and a trial & unlock) and for LittleBigPlanet an Assasssin's Creed costume will be available too.
Leave comments as usual, but please keep in mind that I don't work on...
