Two of these can then be plugged into the CR-3100 which will give your PSP 32GB of storage. Photofast are also working to increase the maximum storage to 64GB.

To quote: The CR-5400 is a dual slot adapter that converts microSD/microSDHC into Memory Stick Pro duo and provides 16GB of memory.

The CR-3100 allows you to combine four SDHC memory cards, totaling 32GB storage in your PSP. Just combine 2x8GB SDHC in one of their dual adaptors slots to double that!

According to our contacts at Computex 2008, the manufacturer is trying to enhance the maximum storage to 64GB... This is not official! We were also told that Sony's latest technology is continuously being implemented in order to keep their products compatible.

Opinion: Is the GPU holding the PS3 back?

350°
328w ago - Self-proclaimed veteran games industry marketer, Bruce Everiss, believes Sony's GPU is holding back the console and that it has made it a less powerful gaming machine than the Xbox 360.

Everiss uses a quote from Richard Huddy of ATI to back up the claim: "I think Xbox 360 technology is likely to outperform PlayStation 3 technology by a pretty healthy margin in the long run. It looks like the GPU is holding the PS3 back."

To quote: For the PS3 Sony wanted to have a technology advantage so they developed, in conjunction with Toshiba and IBM, the Cell processor. A clean sheet design with many innovations this took $400 million and four years to develop.

The intention was to use two of these in the PS3, one as CPU and one as GPU. However at the last minute Sony realised that the Cell GPU wasn't up to the job so they went to nVidia and bought their 7800GTX GPU. This gave them a number of disadvantages:

* It wasn't designed or optimised as a console GPU. It was designed and optimised as a PC GPU.
* The whole architecture of the console was compromised by the last minute change.
* The 7800GTX has less raw processing power than the Microsoft Xbox 360 GPU.

Preview: Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli

50°
328w ago - Some racing games tread the fine line between realism and fun. If it's too realistic you need to be Hamilton to get around the course without writing off your motor, and if its too forgiving, hardcore gamers cast it away as arcadey.

But it's this balance that Ferrari Challenge seems to have struck just right. When you slam down the accelerator, the eruption of the engine and the speed on screen gives you a great sense that you're powering along in a super car. It's that feeling of raw speed sims like Gran Turismo usually lack.

In that sense, it's a thrilling racing game that the not-so-serious gamer can get a real kick from. But then, the more hardcore of you will get kicks from its other handling intricacies, like the need to break really early to make it around bends. The game is relentlessly realistic in its approach to how long it takes in bringing a ton of metal down from 180mph.

You slam on the brakes and feel the weight of the car lunge forward as the rear becomes unsettled as you throw it into the apex. Then, on the exit of the corner you've got to nurse the car's 500 horses slowly into the rear wheels. Slam the accelerator while you're still turning and you be going sideways - not the fastest way to go.

You can feel all that happening in the pad and it's good. It feels...

News has been few and far between, and not to mention in desperate need of deciphering. Here is the wrap on all the game-related information from 2008 so far.

January - January saw the brunt of the news in regards to Final Fantasy 13 and Versus 13, starting out with a landslide of magazine scans out of Japan. Although most were just images and not much information was squeezed out of them, a few translations of Famitsu and Dengeki (Japanese Magazines) articles revealed a few note worthy tidbits about the games.

Furthermore, one particular statement by Final Fantasy 13 character designer and Final Fantasy Versus 13 director, Tetsuya Nomura. This is the translation of his infamous statement:

"2008 will be the year. There will be tons of news bits, info on characters and summons, and an unexpected connection between the keywords Cocoon and Farushi."

We'll get to that further on, but first, game related information. Square Enix is planning on getting a demo out to the public, although not specifying any particular region. The demo is planned mainly to showcase the new and very different battle system of Final Fantasy 13. The theme of the...
